Pre-Weighing Operator (2nd Shift)
About Bobbie
Bobbie is creating a parenting culture of confidence, not comparison. And it starts with how we choose to feed our babies. We crafted our European style infant formula with purposefully sourced, organic ingredients to give parents a product they are proud to feed their babies, direct to their doorstep. Bobbie is proud to be the only US formula that is designed to meet both FDA and EU standards.
Although 83% of parents turn to formula in the first year of their baby’s life, this is the silent majority that is often shamed for not being able to exclusively breastfeed. Co-founded by two moms and created by a team of mom scientists, nutritionists, pediatricians, and lactation consultants, the Bobbie team knows first hand that there is no one size fits all for feeding. With Bobbie, we hope you can Bottle Boldly.
The Role:
The Ingredient Pre-Weighing Operator is responsible for the accurate measurement, verification, and staging of raw ingredients used in the manufacture of infant formula products. This role operates within a highly regulated environment and requires strict adherence to cGMP, GDP, and all applicable food safety standards. You'll work collaboratively with the broader Processing department — including wet batching and spray drying operations — and support sanitation activities as required.
Shift: Monday - Friday, 3:00pm - 11:30pm
Training: This position requires mandatory training during the first shift for a duration of five weeks. Following this training period, you will transition to the second shift, allowing you to apply your newly acquired skills effectively.
What you will accomplish:
- Accurately weigh, verify, and stage raw ingredients per batch records and SOPs — documenting lot numbers, part numbers, and expiration dates for full traceability
- Complete batch records, equipment verifications, and electronic records accurately and in real time per Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
- Uphold cGMP and food safety compliance in accordance with 21 CFR Part 110/117, including hygiene, gowning, and PPE requirements
- Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of equipment and work surfaces, including CIP cycles and safe handling of cleaning chemicals per SDS requirements
- Support wet batching and spray drying operations, and cross-train across Processing department functions to provide operational flexibility
- Communicate proactively with team members, supervisors, and QA regarding process status, deviations, and any safety concerns
What we would like you to have:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year of experience in food, beverage, pharmaceutical, or another regulated manufacturing environment preferred
- Prior experience with ingredient weighing, batch manufacturing, or sanitation in a cGMP facility is a plus
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to consistently perform repetitive precision tasks with high accuracy
- Strong reading, writing, and basic math skills; ability to follow written SOPs, batch records, and verbal instructions precisely
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work comfortably in varying temperature environments
- Basic computer skills preferred (data entry, electronic batch records)
