Senior Director of Sales

Boingo Enterprise team is seeking a seasoned and results-oriented Sr. Director of Sales to lead our sales team, selling Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) and Emergency Responder Radio Communication Systems (ERRCS). In this critical role, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive national sales strategy to achieve aggressive revenue goals for DAS & ERRCS solutions. You will build and manage a high-performing sales team, cultivate strong relationships with key partners and clients, and play a pivotal role in expanding our market share within the DAS & ERRCS sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of a strategic sales plan for DAS & ERRCS solutions, aligned with overall company objectives.
  • Build, motivate, and coach a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of collaboration while exceeding individual and team quotas.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers for potential and existing customers, including building owners, enterprises, and developers.
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and challenges – guide the sales team in crafting compelling sales presentations and proposals that address those needs.
  • Lead your team in effectively managing a productive and accurate sales pipeline and forecast.
  • Manage sales forecasts, budgets, and pipelines, providing regular reports and data-driven insights to senior management.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and developments related to DAS & ERRCS technology, identify new market opportunities, and ensure the sales team possesses the necessary knowledge to capitalize on them.
  • Collaborate with marketing, engineering, and other internal teams to develop and deliver comprehensive solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Other work, as needed to drive the success of the Enterprise business line.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in a sales leadership role in telecommunications or related industry.
  • Minimum 10 years of sales experience in the telecommunications or related communications technology environment.
  • Proven track record leading national teams that exceed sales targets and achieve significant revenue growth in a competitive market.
  • In-depth understanding of DAS & ERRCS technology, applications, and industry trends.
  • Successful track record hiring, coaching, and motivating a sales team to exemptional results.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate complex technical concepts to a diverse audience.
  • Strong negotiation and deal-closing skills.
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to develop and execute a winning sales strategy.
  • Data-driven approach to sales, with a strong understanding of sales metrics and forecasting.
  • Willing & able to travel about 50% to coach the team, meet with clients and attend industry events.
  • Bachelor's degree
