Tier 2 IT Support & Integration Specialist

Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Tier 2 IT Operations Associate to support the stability, security, and efficiency of our technology environment. In this role, you’ll handle escalated technical issues, assist with system administration tasks, and help ensure seamless IT operations across the organization.

The ideal candidate has strong technical troubleshooting skills, a solid understanding of IT infrastructure, and a collaborative mindset. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, supporting end users, and contributing to ongoing improvements in IT processes and tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to and resolve Tier 2 technical support tickets, escalating more complex issues to senior IT staff when necessary.
  • Monitor and maintain the performance of computer systems, networks, and enterprise applications.
  • Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware, software, and network components.
  • Ensure adherence to IT policies, security protocols, and operational best practices.
  • Support end users with troubleshooting and provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive IT experience.
  • Help manage helpdesk operations by tracking, updating, and closing tickets in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with vendors for support, repairs, or service requests as directed.
  • Assist with regular system backups, updates, and participation in disaster recovery procedures.
  • Contribute to documentation of IT processes, troubleshooting steps, and configuration guides.
  • Utilize automation and integration tools to help streamline workflows and improve system connectivity.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in IT support or operations, with a focus on Tier 2-level troubleshooting and system maintenance.
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, system security, cloud environments, and enterprise software.
  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve escalated technical issues efficiently.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with APIs and system integrations, including the use of automation platforms (e.g., Make.com, Zapier, or similar) to improve workflows.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Security+, Microsoft, ITIL) are a plus.
