Position Description:

The Business Solutions Account Executive is an individual contributor responsible for meeting or exceeding monthly business solutions sales quotas for one of our leading telecommunications clients in the assigned Georgia territory. The role is focused on developing trusted, long-term business relationships with decision makers at small to medium-sized businesses located within and around the client’s fiber network.

Sales results are driven by implementing effective account penetration strategies, building and managing business relationships, and executing strategic selling techniques. The Account Executive positions the company as a premium fiber internet and communications services provider and effectively communicates its value propositions to develop and close new sales.

Essential Job Functions:

Essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Meet or exceed monthly sales goals for new sales.
  • Accurately forecast monthly sales by close month.
  • Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the company’s value propositions and capabilities, and articulate them effectively to existing and prospective customers.
  • Build expertise in the company’s service offerings, including high-speed internet, hosted voice, business-class cable TV, physical/property security, and video conferencing.
  • Perform consistent lead generation activities through professional networking, phone outreach, email campaigns, and in-person prospecting.
  • Develop customer references and actively seek out referrals to support business growth.
  • Establish and maintain trusted, long-term relationships with decision makers at small to medium-sized businesses in the service area.
  • Promote a positive reputation and strong brand image for the company in local markets.
  • Respond to customer inquiries for products and services promptly and professionally.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified sales prospects to consistently achieve or exceed quota.
  • Maintain accurate customer information in the company’s sales system.
  • Use a consultative sales approach to identify and recommend solutions aligned with customer needs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to design and propose optimal communication solutions for prospects.
  • Serve as the primary customer contact throughout installation and service activation.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of competitor offerings and market strategies within the assigned territory.
  • Complete additional duties and projects as assigned by management.
  • Demonstrate consistent attendance and on-time performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a four-year college or university.
  • Demonstrated success in technology sales and/or business development.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage executive-level relationships and execute strategic sales processes.
  • Strong business and financial acumen, with a solid understanding of the drivers within small to medium-sized businesses.
  • Working knowledge of internet, TV, and managed/hosted voice service solutions.
  • Experience developing, negotiating, and executing customer contracts.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel as required.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently uses hands or fingers to handle objects, tools, or controls, and occasionally stands, walks, or reaches with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The work environment is typically low to moderate in noise.
