Position Description:

The Senior Account Manager – Business Solutions is responsible for managing, retaining, and growing an assigned portfolio of small and medium-sized business customers for one of our leading telecommunications clients. This role develops trusted business relationships with clients, acts as their main point of contact, and partners with Customer Service, Operations, and Finance teams to ensure customer expectations are met. The Senior Account Manager identifies opportunities for upsells, new service sales, and contract renewals, maintaining a pipeline to consistently meet revenue and account retention goals. Using a consultative, solution-based account management approach, this role positions our client as a premium broadband services provider and effectively markets the full portfolio of products and services.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Meet or exceed monthly goals for new sales and renewal contracts
  • Manage an assigned portfolio of small and medium-sized business customers
  • Collaborate with Account Executives to achieve monthly sales quotas and renewal targets
  • Develop and maintain trusted business relationships with clients, serving as their primary point of contact
  • Accurately forecast new business and contract renewals each month
  • Partner with Customer Service, Operations, and Finance teams to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve issues promptly
  • Train customers on business solutions and customer portals
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of products and value propositions
  • Act as the “voice of the customer” and communicate customer needs to leadership
  • Build and maintain a sales pipeline to consistently meet revenue and retention objectives
  • Customize and present compelling value propositions and proposals
  • Maintain a list of referenceable customers to support new sales
  • Catalog and maintain executed contracts in shared storage
  • Track and manage upcoming contract renewal opportunities (minimum 12-month view)
  • Maintain strong knowledge of competitors and their market strategies
  • Escalate installation, billing, or service issues as necessary
  • Maintain a customer-focused approach and promote a positive brand image
  • Complete additional duties and projects as assigned
  • Ensure consistent attendance and punctuality

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
  • 3+ years of successful experience in technology sales, business development, account management, or customer service in broadband services preferred
  • Strong understanding of customer relationship development and account management best practices
  • Solid business and financial acumen with understanding of small and medium business drivers
  • Knowledge of high-speed internet, cable TV, and voice products/services
  • Experience negotiating and executing customer contracts
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and willingness to travel as required

Physical Demands:

  • Regularly required to talk and hear
  • Frequently uses hands or fingers to handle objects, tools, or controls
  • Occasionally stands, walks, sits, and reaches with hands/arms
  • Occasionally lifts/moves up to 25 pounds
  • Requires close and distance vision and ability to adjust focus
  • Noise level typically low to moderate
