3D Interior Rendering Specialist — Part-Time Remote, Hourly

About the Role

We’re seeking a part‑time specialist to produce high‑quality 3D visualizations of our interior spaces before we build. You’ll take our drawings, photos, and direction (brands, finishes, fixtures, and even preferred daylight settings (physical sun/sky) and turn them into clear, realistic 3D views so we can compare options and make decisions with confidence. Typical spaces include the kitchen & bar area, stairs, walls, bathrooms, and adjacent rooms.

This role is ideal for someone who can reliably contribute roughly 10 hours per week for 4 to 6 months.

Timezone: Overlap with Eastern Time (US) for 2 hours per day. Start date - ASAP.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build or clean up 3D models from plans, elevations, and photo references (kitchen/bar, stairs, bathrooms, etc.).
  • Set up scenes, cameras, and composition to match viewpoints we specify; propose additional useful views.
  • Apply client‑provided materials/finishes (brands, SKUs, textures) and quickly swap variants to compare schemes.
  • Produce photoreal stills (and optional 360s or short fly‑throughs) at agreed resolutions.
  • Maintain tidy source files, naming conventions, and organized asset libraries; document material schedules per scheme.
  • Iterate based on feedback with light retouching/post in Photoshop (color, contrast, glare, cut‑ins, entourage).
  • Quality‑check geometry, scale, and material mapping; call out constructability or mismatch issues you notice.
  • Regular updates and share progress via cloud folders; provide brief written notes on what changed and what to review next.Set up shared google folder/files.

Deliverables & Quality Bar

  • Render types: 3–5 still views per space per scheme (plus optional 360 panorama or short clip when helpful) with high resolution
  • Accuracy: Scale and placements aligned to our drawings within practical tolerance (≈ 1–2 cm / 1⁄2–3⁄4 in).
  • Variants: Material swaps (e.g., countertop A vs. B; tile pattern 1 vs. 2; stain colors, grout colors, hardware).

Must‑Have Qualifications

  • Communication: Clear written English; concise update notes; organized file management in Google Drive.
  • 3D modeling in at least one: Revit, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Rhino, or Blender.
  • Rendering engine proficiency in at least one: V‑Ray, Enscape, Lumion, Twinmotion, Corona, Cycles, or Octane.
  • 2D/post: Strong Adobe Photoshop (or Affinity Photo) for light compositing and color management.
  • Plan literacy: Can read architectural drawings, elevations, and sections; comfortable with dimensions and tolerances.
  • Materials: Build and apply materials—albedo/roughness/metallic/normal—received from us so finishes render accurately.
  • Lighting: Daylight systems (physical sun/sky) and interior lighting basics; HDRI experience is a plus.
  • Hardware: Capable workstation (disclose CPU/GPU/RAM); stable internet for large file transfers.

Nice‑to‑Have (Bonus)

  • AutoCAD (DWG underlay cleanup, view alignment) and/or Revit family creation for custom fixtures.
  • CET Designer (Configura) familiarity (reading/bringing in manufacturer content when relevant).
  • Unreal Engine / Twinmotion for real‑time reviews; Revit + Enscape pipeline for quick iterations.
  • Basic video editing for short walk‑throughs; Photoshop photogrammetry cleanup.
  • Prior experience rendering kitchens/baths/walls

Tools & File Ecosystem

  • Collaboration: Google Drive (Docs/Sheets/Drive) for briefs, selections, and reviews.
  • Preferred 3D stack (choose your lane):
    • Revit + Enscape/V‑Ray, or
    • SketchUp + V‑Ray/Enscape, or
    • 3ds Max + Corona/V‑Ray, or
    • Blender + Cycles (with PBR workflow).
  • Post: Photoshop; optional After Effects/Premiere for short clips.
