
Senior Account Manager- Telecommunications

Role:
We are looking for a Senior Account Manager – Business Solutions who can manage, retain, and grow a portfolio of small and medium-sized business customers for one of our leading telecommunications clients. You’ll serve as the trusted advisor for your clients—building relationships, solving challenges, and identifying new opportunities to expand revenue through renewals, upsells, and service enhancements.
This role combines account management, consultative sales, and cross-functional collaboration to position our client as a premium broadband and communications provider offering fiber internet, hosted voice, cable TV, and managed business solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow an assigned portfolio of SMB clients, ensuring satisfaction, retention, and revenue growth.
- Consistently meet or exceed monthly sales, upsell, and contract renewal goals through effective relationship management and territory planning.
- Build trusted partnerships with business decision-makers, serving as their primary point of contact and the “voice of the customer.”
- Collaborate with Customer Service, Operations, Finance, and Account Executives to deliver seamless onboarding, service, and billing experiences.
- Identify customer needs using a consultative approach; develop tailored proposals, negotiate contracts, and present compelling value propositions.
- Maintain detailed, accurate records of customer interactions, contracts, renewals, and forecasts using CRM and Microsoft Office tools.
- Proactively track renewal opportunities (minimum 12-month pipeline) and ensure timely follow-up and retention actions.
- Demonstrate leadership, professionalism, and sound judgment when addressing customer concerns or cross-functional challenges.
- Communicate clearly and persuasively with customers and colleagues, maintaining composure under pressure and openness to feedback.
- Stay informed on competitive offerings, market trends, and company product updates to position solutions effectively.
- Manage workload efficiently—prioritizing tasks, meeting administrative requirements, and ensuring consistent attendance and punctuality.
- Complete additional duties and projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- 3+ years of success in telecom, broadband, or technology sales, account management, or customer service.
- Strong relationship management, negotiation, and contract execution skills.
- Business and financial acumen with understanding of SMB operations and decision drivers.
- Knowledge of broadband, internet, voice, and cable TV products.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
