
Wireless Network Technical Support Specialist (T2)
About the Role:
We are seeking experienced Wireless Network Technical Support Specialists (T2) to support critical wireless infrastructure operations for a global enterprise. This role focuses on Cisco wireless environments and requires hands-on experience with Wireless LAN Controllers (WLCs) and Access Point provisioning.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide Tier 2 technical support for Cisco wireless network infrastructure across APAC.

Perform provisioning, configuration, and troubleshooting of Access Points in a Cisco-dominant environment.

Support and troubleshoot Cisco 9800 Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC) and AP-related issues.

Execute change control procedures (ServiceNow) for integrating new APs into Cisco 9500–9800 series controllers.

Investigate connectivity, performance, and wireless client issues.

Collaborate with global IT teams to ensure smooth wireless operations during EST business hours.

Document configurations, resolutions, and processes for knowledge management.

Escalate complex or unresolved issues to senior engineering teams.
Required Qualifications:
Technical Skills
-
Hands-on experience with Cisco WLCs, especially 9800 series.

Strong proficiency in AP provisioning, configuration, and troubleshooting.

Working knowledge of Cisco 9500 & 9800 series infrastructure.

Experience using ServiceNow for incident and change management.

Understanding of wireless standards (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax).

Solid networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs).
Operational Skills

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-resolution abilities.

Experience in Cisco-dominant wireless environments (multi-vendor experience a plus).

Familiarity with change control processes and documentation.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Soft Skills

Excellent communication skills across global time zones.

Highly organized and self-driven.
- Team-oriented with a customer-focused mindset.
Nice to Have:

Experience supporting automotive or manufacturing environments.

Knowledge of enterprise wireless design principles.

Exposure to Cisco Prime Infrastructure or Cisco DNA Center.

ITIL Foundation understanding.

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week

Work Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST
