Estimator - Construction

India, Latin America, Philippines, United States

Role Summary

We’re looking for an experienced, highly organized Remote Construction Estimator to join a leading North American Property Restoration and Construction company. In this role, you will produce accurate, insurance-compliant estimates for residential and commercial restoration projects involving water, fire, mold, and storm damage—helping ensure every scope is complete, cost-effective, and set up for success. You’ll collaborate closely with project teams, manage supplements, and contribute to smooth, efficient project delivery, making a direct impact on profitability and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate combines strong estimating expertise, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a remote environment supporting North American operations.

Key Responsibilities

Scope Architecture & Precision

  • Lead the creation of complex residential and commercial estimates for water, fire, mold, and storm damage, fully compliant with insurance carrier standards.

  • Ensure the integrity of the Scope of Work, proactively identifying missing line items to prevent revenue leakage.

  • Develop and maintain standardized estimating templates and processes to optimize efficiency and scalability.

Financial & Workflow Optimization

  • Analyze project profitability by comparing estimates with actual field expenditures and provide actionable insights to project management.

  • Identify gaps in the sales-to-estimating handoff and propose workflow improvements to streamline operations.

  • Manage the supplement process, negotiating with adjusters to ensure all required repairs are covered and properly documented.

Strategic Leadership & Team Collaboration

  • Mentor and coach junior estimators and support staff on advanced estimating techniques, sketching, and code compliance.

  • Provide clear, real-time updates to the North American team during overlapping hours.

  • Collaborate with leadership to design and implement training programs for expanding estimating teams.

Technical Ecosystem

  • Core Estimating: Proficient in industry-standard estimating platforms (e.g., Xactimate, Symbility, PlanSwift, or similar) for creating accurate, insurance-compliant scopes, complex sketches, and line-item cost structures.

  • Project Management: Experience with project management and CRM platforms (e.g., JobTread, Buildertrend, Procore, CoConstruct, or similar) to track projects, manage documents, and monitor workflow.

  • Collaboration Tools: Skilled in real-time communication tools (e.g., Slack, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or similar) to coordinate with field teams, project managers, and clients.

  • Field Data Tools: Familiarity with digital field data platforms (e.g., Encircle, Matterport, iGuide, or similar) for reviewing photos, 3D scans, and other property documentation.

  • Documentation & Reporting: Proficient in office productivity suites (Microsoft Office 365, Google Workspace, or similar) for reporting, SOP creation, and process documentation.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in International/US Based restoration or construction estimating, ideally across water, fire, mold, or storm damage.

  • Advanced proficiency with estimating software, including complex sketches, templates, and insurance-compliant line items.

  • Strong financial acumen with a track record of managing profitable projects.

  • Excellent communication skills, particularly in remote, synchronous team environments.

  • Proactive, solution-oriented, and comfortable driving strategic initiatives within estimating and project workflows.

  • Ability to work remotely, under US/CAN hours.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
