
Architectural Wall Systems Specialist (CET)
Role Summary:
We’re seeking a design-driven Interior Designer with specialized expertise in architectural wall systems and integrated workplace environments to join a top-tier U.S. commercial furniture dealer representing leading brands such as Haworth, Steelcase, Kimball, and Teknion.
You will design and deliver high-performance commercial interiors for multinational clients, integrating architectural wall solutions, modular systems, and furniture applications into cohesive, buildable workplace environments. In this role, you will lead the technical execution of office interiors while contributing to space planning, architectural integration, and visual storytelling. Partnering with sales teams, designers, and project stakeholders, you will produce innovative workspace solutions, fast-turnaround presentations, and polished visual materials that help win business and elevate workplace performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and specify architectural wall systems, demountable partitions, and glass fronts integrated with furniture layouts.
- Ensure coordination with structural conditions, ceiling interfaces, MEP systems, acoustics, and privacy needs.
- Produce detailed wall elevations, sections, and connection details for accurate pricing and installation.
- Develop workplace solutions and space plans using CET Designer and AutoCAD.
- Translate client requirements into flexible, high-performance environments aligned with ADA, LEED, and WELL standards.
- Create drawings, renderings, specifications, and presentation materials to support project approvals and wins.
- Prepare installation packages and resolve field conditions impacting system integration.
- Coordinate with sales, A&D teams, contractors, and technical partners to ensure seamless execution.
- Review deliverables for accuracy and prepare final documentation and as-builts.
- Stay current on architectural wall systems, acoustics, and workplace design innovations.
Qualifications:
- Advanced CET (Configura) expertise required; strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, ProjectSpec, and Microsoft Office.
- 2–4+ years of experience in commercial interiors, architectural wall systems, or workplace design.
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
- Demonstrated knowledge of demountable wall systems, glass partitions, and modular architectural interiors.
- Strong understanding of commercial standards and codes (ADA, LEED, WELL), acoustics, privacy planning, and technology integration.
- Strong English communication skills with confidence in a U.S.-based, client-facing environment.
- Detail-oriented and adaptable, able to manage multiple fast-paced projects.
- Collaborative, solutions-driven mindset with the independence to thrive in a remote setting.
