Overview

We are working on a high-end residential interior project and are seeking a detail-oriented CAD specialist to produce precise, fabrication-ready drawing packages across multiple interior areas (e.g., bedrooms, bathrooms, bar, hallways).

This is a part-time contract role (3–4 months) focused on technical documentation, fabrication-level detailing, and buildable execution, not creative design.

This role involves direct coordination with fabricators and installers, requiring a strong understanding of how drawings translate into real-world construction and installation.

👉 You will be responsible for producing highly detailed, fabrication-ready shop drawing packages and ensuring they are accurate, practical, and executable on site.

Responsibilities

Create detailed AutoCAD drawing packages for individual areas of the home
Produce:

Dimensioned floor plans
Interior elevations
Sections
Shop drawings (cabinetry, millwork, stone, tile)

Develop fabrication-level detailing that clearly communicates how elements are built and installed
Prepare material callouts and schedules
Directly coordinate with fabricators and installers to ensure drawings align with real-world fabrication and installation requirements
Incorporate feedback from fabrication and installation teams into drawing revisions
Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and constructability
Take ownership of producing highly detailed shop drawing packages from design intent through to build-ready documentation

👉 Your role is to convert these into accurate, fabrication-ready shop drawing packages, with a strong focus on buildability and coordination with fabrication and installation teams.

Required Skills

Expert in AutoCAD (required)
Strong experience with:

Shop drawings
Millwork / cabinetry detailing
Interior construction drawings

Proven experience with:

Fabrication-level detailing
Direct coordination with fabricators and/or installers
Producing highly detailed shop drawing packages

Ability to produce:

Highly detailed, dimensioned drawings
Sections and technical details

Strong understanding of:

Materials (wood, stone, tile)
Fabrication processes
Installation methods

Preferred (Not Required)

Revit experience
Experience working with high-end residential interiors
Experience collaborating directly with millworkers, fabricators, or contractors

Your work is primarily renderings or concept design
You do not have experience with shop drawings or detailed construction drawings
You do not have experience producing fabrication-ready documentation
