
Architectural Designer - Commercial Interiors
Role Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Architectural Designer to join our dedicated architectural products team supporting a top-tier U.S. commercial furniture dealer representing brands like Haworth, Teknion, Steelcase, and Kimball. This role focuses on supporting projects involving specialized manufacturers, specifically focusing on premanufactured architectural solutions. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who excels at technical precision, thrives in a collaborative team environment, and possesses the mathematical rigor required for complex architectural layouts.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop high-detail architectural drawings and specifications for product-specific applications.
- Collaborate with the internal design team to scale capacity and meet project deadlines.
- Manage technical documentation and data using Bluebeam and Excel.
- Ensure all designs adhere to the Imperial measurement system with 100% accuracy.
- Review manufacturer-specific constraints to ensure designs are viable for production and installation.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Technical Tools: Proficiency in Bluebeam for PDF markup and editing, alongside Excel for data management and project scheduling.
- Technical Accuracy: Strong mathematical skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and material requirements within the Imperial system (feet and inches).
- Quality Standards: A proven track record of producing highly detailed, error-free technical work while maintaining a solid grasp of commercial standards, including ADA, LEED, WELL, and furniture-integrated technology.
- Communication: Exceptional English communication skills with the confidence to operate effectively in a U.S.-based, client-facing environment.
- Remote Proficiency: Proactive and self-motivated; able to manage multiple fast-paced projects with minimal supervision in a remote setting.
- Logistics: Reliable home office setup with the flexibility to align with U.S. business hours as required.
