Social Media Manager (Contract or Full Time)

Remote - Global

Bolt is on a mission to democratize commerce. We relentlessly prioritize our retailers—putting their brands front and center while enabling frictionless shopping at any touchpoint in the customer journey. At the center of it all is our rapidly growing universal shopper network—Bolt merchants such as Revolve, Lily Pulitzer, Kendra Scott, Lucky Brand Jeans, and Jonny Was can access tens of millions of shoppers, offering them a best-in-class checkout.

And revolutionizing ecommerce is only half of the equation—we’re also transforming the way we work. At Bolt, we have created a work environment where people learn to drive impact, take risks and make big bets, and grow from feedback, all while feeling welcomed and accepted for who they are. Come join us on the adventure today!

Your role at Bolt:

As Bolt’s Social Media Manager, you will own the voice of the brand across every social platform. From crafting standout content to launching creative campaigns and analyzing performance, you’ll lead the strategy and day-to-day execution of Bolt’s presence across Twitter/X, LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram, Bluesky, Meta, and beyond. This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who thrives in the fast-paced world of ecommerce and fintech and knows how to turn moments into movements.

What you will be doing:

  • Develop and execute a platform-specific content strategy for each of Bolt’s core social channels to drive engagement, awareness, and thought leadership.
  • Own the end-to-end content lifecycle—from ideation and copywriting to scheduling, posting, and community engagement.
  • Create or direct the creation of original content including graphics, short-form video, motion assets, and platform-native creative (e.g., Reels, Stories, TikToks, etc.).
  • Collaborate closely with PR, Product Marketing, Creative, and GTM teams to amplify key launches, campaigns, events, and partnerships.
  • Monitor conversations and trends across social platforms to engage with our audience in real time and jump into relevant conversations.
  • Manage all social listening and analytics tools, tracking KPIs like follower growth, reach, impressions, engagement, and CTR to inform and optimize strategy.
  • Maintain a consistent brand voice across channels while tailoring tone and content to each platform's unique audience and norms.
  • Stay ahead of platform trends, algorithm changes, and emerging channels to ensure Bolt is always pushing the boundaries of social innovation.

What would set you up for success:

  • 5-8 years of experience managing social media for a brand, ideally in tech, fintech, or ecommerce.
  • Deep understanding of content best practices and audience behaviors across platforms like X/Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.
  • Proven ability to concept and create original, engaging, and high-performing content—especially short-form video and meme-style creative.
  • Experience using social media tools (e.g. Sprout, Hootsuite, Later, Buffer, Dash Hudson, etc.) and analytics platforms to guide strategy.
  • Excellent copywriting skills and an intuitive grasp of tone, voice, and timing.
  • Ability to balance long-term brand strategy with real-time content creation and cultural responsiveness.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally and juggling multiple stakeholders while keeping the brand consistent and creative.
  • Bonus: A strong personal social presence or portfolio of past brand work you’re proud of.

Benefits:

  • Comprehensive health coverage: Medical, dental and vision
  • Remote-first workplace
  • Time away: Flexible PTO, paid holidays + floating holidays, your birthday off!
  • Paid parental leave
  • Competitive Pay
  • Retirement plans
  • Virtual and in-person team & company events

In addition to our core values, Bolt is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace. We are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity and expression, genetic information, pregnancy and related conditions, veteran status or any other reason prohibited by law. Form CC-305

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
