Senior Associate, Apparel & Footwear

New York, NY

Job Title:

Senior Associate, Apparel & Footwear

About Bombas:

Bombas is a comfort focused premium basics brand with a mission to help those in need. The company launched in 2013, after the founders learned that socks are the #1 most requested clothing item at homeless shelters. From there, they set out to solve that problem, donating a pair of socks for every pair they sell. How do you donate a lot of socks? You sell a lot. And how do you sell a lot? You make the most comfortable socks in the history of feet. Millions of pairs sold and donated later, Bombas has continued to innovate within its mission and product, introducing new socks, as well as underwear and t-shirts, the #2 and #3 most requested clothing items at homeless shelters, all while continuing to make a positive impact on the community where we all work and live.

The word Bombas is derived from the Latin word for bumblebees. Bees work together to make their hive a better place. At Bombas, we’re inspired by that. We know it’s the collective efforts of our team that keeps the Hive alive and strong - a team that is diverse and inclusive. Different perspectives strengthen our ability to make the most comfortable versions of the products people wear closest to their bodies every day and to serve the communities where we all work and live. We are committed to continuously building a Hive where all are welcomed, seen, and heard regardless of age, color, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, genetics, physical or mental ability, protected veteran status race, religion and sexual orientation. As a team, we will strive to create room for different experiences and empower all voices.

Based on the specific needs and job requirements, this role will be working out of our Bombas HQ in New York City.

About the Job:

We are looking for a detail-obsessed, systems-minded team player to join our Production team as our Senior Associate, Apparel & Footwear, reporting directly to our Director of Production. The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of experience in production, purchasing, or operations within apparel or consumer goods, with a strong command of purchase order management and data integrity in ERP/PLM environments. This is an opportunity to own the operational backbone of our apparel & footwear category—keeping Bombas' supply chain moving with precision, accuracy, and accountability across both seasonal and core product lines.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Own all purchase order and data management for apparel & footwear categories, ensuring NetSuite reflects the most accurate, up-to-date costing and delivery information at all times
  • Serve as the data integrity owner in NetSuite (NS), maintaining clean, audit-ready records across POs, delivery schedules, and vendor data
  • Manage the handoff for the apparel & footwear category between the PD partner and production, ensuring orders are placed to suppliers on time and without gaps
  • Responsible to negotiate seasonal TNA’s with suppliers & adhering to lead-time goals as set out by the company
  • Issue POs for PR and photo samples; monitor tracking, update AWB numbers, and confirm receipt on schedule
  • Update NetSuite with any delivery shifts or schedule changes from suppliers so the Director of Production can report on on-time delivery monthly
  • Partner closely with vendors and the Bombas Logistics/Operations team to ensure timely submission of commercial invoices and packing lists for all shipments
  • Ensure vendors are booking shipments on time to achieve originally confirmed delivery windows; communicate Flex ID information to the Ops team
  • Conduct weekly vendor communication to monitor WIP (work in progress), confirming approvals, cost accuracy, and delivery updates on a seasonal basis
  • Manage all donation timelines for the apparel category—place POs and oversee shipments in close collaboration with the Giving team and PD team
  • Execute air splits and pull-up requests on POs as directed by Planning
  • Issue chargebacks to suppliers and review shortage/overage callouts, communicating to Planning whether variances can be accepted
  • Send projections to suppliers
  • Run monthly LCT template audits for the department
  • Manage the ordering and tracking of packaging for footwear returns
  • Responsible for executing WHLS VAS orders for our retail partners for seasonal orders, ensuring separate PO’s are created and specific packaging and labeling is used as needed
  • Own all chase requests from internal teams to suppliers, keeping the GTM chase
    document updated and accurate
  • Manage RWS certifications and documentation as they pertain to bulk orders
  • Request TOP samples & manage storage at HQ

What we’ll love about you:

  • A meticulous operator who treats data integrity as non-negotiable—because supply chain decisions are only as good as the information behind them
  • A proactive communicator who manages vendor relationships with structure and follow-through, not just responsiveness
  • Comfortable owning multiple deadlines simultaneously across seasonal and core calendars without letting details slip
  • A team player who is willing and happy to help
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Belief in our mission and an understanding of the importance of giving back
  • Inquisitive, loves to learn, embraces failure, and never gives up
  • Comfortable staying focused while working in any type of environment

What you’ll love about us:

  • We are a team of smart, interesting, diverse, funny, and loving people.
  • We offer competitive compensation, 100% employer paid health, medical and dental benefits, 401k with match, paid parental leave, snacks, socks and a fun, relaxed office environment.
  • We take the responsibility to make sure you are excited, happy, and find fulfillment in your work very seriously.
  • We value fun. This is why we host office lunches, offsite team outings, and company retreats.
  • We believe in giving back to the community and helping those in need, which is why we volunteer as a team regularly.
  • We believe success comes from the collective effort of all, which is why all full-time employees receive equity in the business.
  • We offer flexible paid time off for all full-time employees. This includes unlimited vacation, sick days, and wellness days because we understand the value of health, relaxation, spending time with friends and family, and traveling the world.
  • We believe a healthy body equals a healthy mind, so we offer a $100 monthly health and wellness reimbursement.

What you’ll bring:

  • 2–4 years of experience in production, purchasing, or supply chain operations within apparel, footwear, or consumer goods
  • Hands-on proficiency with an ERP or PLM system (NetSuite experience a strong plus); high comfort working in data-heavy environments
  • Highly proficient in Excel, with the ability to manage and manipulate large data sets with accuracy and efficiency; experience with XLOOKUPs and pivot tables a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience managing purchase orders end-to-end, including vendor communication, tracking, and delivery management
  • Strong organizational skills with a track record of managing multiple priorities across seasonal and replenishment product flows
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Planning, Logistics, and Product Development teams
  • Familiarity with supply chain documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, and freight booking processes

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
