Reality Capture Manager - Field
Position Description:
The field focused Reality Capture Manager operating within BOND Building’s Integrated Design Services (IDS) team is responsible for working with the Senior Reality Capture Manager in the execution of day-to-day operations for the Reality Capture Team. The Manager will primarily serve as the field crew chief and point of contact for the execution of various Reality Capture and/or surveying projects, subsequent data post-processing, and creation of various survey-based deliverables. The Manager will also be responsible for the training, supervising, and growth of the Reality Capture Specialists with a primary focus on fieldwork and surveying. Employees are also encouraged but not required to cross-train to perform secondary responsibilities in Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Architectural Design with available training in software and process provided. This position reports to the Director of Integrated Design in a secondary role.
Core Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate leadership and managerial skills for a rapidly growing team

- Demonstrate an ability to meet project specific deadlines for both the team and the individual
- Laser Scanning & Registration – perform field-based capture of 3D spatial point cloud data using terrestrial FARO laser scanners for use in existing conditions BIM development and the construction QA/QC
- Surveying – perform field-based project control using Total Stations to maintain accuracies in the laser scanning and photogrammetry processes; perform QA/QC and layout on various construction projects
- Photogrammetry – perform field-based drone photography for use in marketing materials and 3D photogrammetry data capture. Requires successful passing of the FAA Part 107 UAS Operator Exam
Secondary Responsibilities (Optional, Training Available):
- Building Information Modelling – development of Building Information Models using various 3D modeling programs, primarily Autodesk Revit, for various construction & design related tasks
- Visualization and Marketing – aid in the creation of marketing materials and presentations including: 2D logistics (Adobe Creative Suite) or 3D renderings and visualizations (primarily Lumion, Enscape, & Twin Motion); attend conferences and networking events to increase market opportunities
- Architectural Design – aid in the conceptual design and documentation of various architectural design projects through multiple phases of the design process. Assist in the production of technical construction documents and renderings for client review and concept development
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management
- Revit certification preferred, but not required
- Understanding of architectural, structural, or mechanical drawings as well as understanding of BIM and 3D modelling
- Demonstrate experience in required software (AutoCAD, Navisworks, Revit, Faro Scene, etc.)
- Demonstrate effective written and verbal English language communication skills
- Demonstrate leadership ability
- Ability to use independent judgement, problem-solving ability, self-starting, and ability to prioritize based on relevant factors
Physical Requirements:
- Applicants must be able to perform the physical requirements of the position which may include:
- Lifting of equipment (10-25 pounds)
- Occasional confined space work
- Extended periods of standing
- Exposure to outdoor elements (cold, rain, snow, heat)
- Occasional extended travel (typically less than 2 weeks) as needed by workload
