Superintendent- District Energy
Position Description:
The Superintendent’s primary role is to site supervise, oversee, plan, and ensure the success of the construction project. Responsible for the planning, organizing, and control of the project(s). Continuously completes quality inspections of all related work and materials, and ensures that the budget, design, and schedule is achieved. Monitors and supervises all field operations, workers, and subcontractors, reporting the progress of the project to BOND and the client. Must successfully meet the time, quality, and financial obligations of the job in a safe environment.
The work focus is central energy plants, renewable energy system installations in college, university, and institutional settings. The position will be in New Hampshire.
Core Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the total construction field operations.
- Ensure that health and safety project plans are implemented.
- Lead and supervise the workers and monitor work performance.
- Liaise with external agents and inspectors and meet required standards in terms of licenses, safety, plan & Specification requirements.
- Work collaboratively with design teams and clients, keeping them informed of progress, documenting information, and trends.
- Manage all subcontractor relationships.
- Manage safety compliance through planning and communications, build a culture of Safety Excellence.
- Develop logistics plans, safety plans, schedules, and support startup & commissioning efforts.
- Mentor subordinates and promote team atmosphere reflecting BOND’s values.
Qualifications:
- BS in engineering or related discipline or equivalent work experience in the Construction Industry.
- Requires exceptional leadership, interpersonal skills and ability to maintain positive working relationships.
- Builder’s License and or Construction Supervisor credentials
- Possesses extensive knowledge and understanding of the Owner Contract, plan and specification requirements, and risk mitigation.
- Must be detail-oriented, Strong communicator, organized, flexible, and able to effectively multitask while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have excellent time management and prioritization skills to ensure deadlines are met while providing accurate projections on project activities.
Desired Experience:
- Understanding of design, operation, or commissioning of industrial Hot Water, Chilled Water, Steam, and Electrical generating equipment.
- Understanding design, operating, or commissioning of complex mechanical systems
- Understanding of advanced automation, controls systems and medium voltage electrical systems.
- Demonstrated knowledge of local permit and regulation procedures.
- Demonstrated experience planning and working within an active campus environment.
- Understanding of foundation systems, complex earth retention systems, support of adjacent structures and winter mitigation requirement.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Job sites are often hot, loud, and generally a hazardous environment.
