Business Intelligence Developer

Position Description:

We are seeking a skilled BI Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a comprehensive understanding of data visualization techniques. They will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions for the organization in Power BI.

Core Responsibilities: 

  • Report Development: Create, manage, and optimize BI reports and dashboards using various BI tools.
  • Data Modeling: Develop and implement data models that support business intelligence and reporting needs.
  • Data Integration: Integrate data from various sources and ensure consistency and accuracy in the reports.
  • Performance Tuning: Optimize dashboards with focus on usability, performance, flexibility, and transparency.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into actionable BI solutions.
  • Training and Support: Provide guidance and training to end-users on BI features and report functionalities.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for all BI solutions and processes.

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field; master’s in data analytics, or a related field a plus.
  • Relevant certifications in Power BI, Microsoft Azure, or Microsoft Fabric desirable.
  • Expert-level Power BI development skills as well as proficiency with DAX, Power Query, SQL, Python.
  • Experience with advanced analytics and machine learning algorithms.
  • Experience in developing and deploying APIs.
  • Experience with maintaining data pipelines and ETL processes in Microsoft Azure or Fabric.
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
  • Construction industry experience a big plus

Necessary Attributes:

  • Strong aptitude for analytics and data visualization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across departments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data analysis and report generation.
