Associate, HR Business Partner

About the Role:
Bond Vet is building the next generation of veterinary clinics from the ground up and we're looking for a people-first, detail-oriented HR professional to help support our growing team. The HR Business Partner Associate will report directly to our Senior Managers of HRBP and support the day-to-day people operations, provide exceptional employee support, and play a key role in ensuring a smooth and consistent employee experience across our clinics. This role is ideal for someone early in their HR career who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, can maintain organization and is passionate about building strong, trusting relationships with employees and leaders alike. You'll gain hands-on experience in core HR functions, such as employee relations, leave management, and policy interpretation while contributing to the overall success of the People Team and the employee lifecycle.
This is a hybrid role primarily remote, with candidates ideally located in the DMV, or Tri-State areas. The role requires travel to clinics (20%) and periodic in-person meetings at our New York City office (Chelsea).
What You’ll Do:
- Support the Senior Manager of HRBPs in managing day-to-day people needs across assigned clinics and regions
- Provide exemplary service to internal teams while helping to resolve a high volume of low- to mid-level employee relations matters in a timely and solutions-oriented way
- Provide assistance with administrative people processes including coordinating exit interviews, promotions, and other job changes.
- Partner with clinic leaders to provide guidance on basic HR policies and procedures
- Partner with Senior Managers of HRBP to roll out and communicate key People initiatives - performance management, compensation, benefits, training and development programs
- Visit clinics in your assigned regions as needed to build in-person relationships, provide hands-on support, and foster a strong HR presence at the ground level
- Build strong relationships with clinic management and leadership teams
- Be detail oriented regarding employee data, ensuring employee data integrity at all times.
About You

- You have integrity and maintain confidentiality of our people data & analytics and use good judgment on a daily basis
- You have some experience supporting both non-exempt and exempt employee types
- You are strong a team player and willing to assist other team members when needed
- You have a passion for understanding the goals of the organization and improving team processes
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of HR experience
- Basic knowledge of employment law
- SHRM, HRCI or other HR certificate is a plus
- Experience in veterinary medicine/ healthcare a plus
