Regional Chief Veterinary Officer

We are seeking a visionary and hands-on Regional Chief Veterinary Officer - Mid-Atlantic to serve as the strategic and clinical leader for the Mid-Atlantic region, ensuring that our teams are supported, engaged, and accountable for delivering exceptional medical quality. This role sits between the Regional Medical Directors (RMDs) and the company CVO, providing close partnership, mentorship, and leadership development for all medical leaders in the Mid-Atlantic region and collaborating with leaders in other regions.
As a senior leader reporting directly to the Chief Veterinary Officer, you will build and maintain a high performing team, own training & education to facilitate both development of your teams and to enable advanced medical quality in your clinics, oversee the development and deployment of medical programs that support our doctors and medical leaders, and ensure our medical strategy keeps Bond Vet at the forefront of veterinary medicine.

Core Responsibilities
Leadership & Mentorship
- Serve as a trusted advisor and mentor to veterinarians, medical directors, and clinic teams across the Mid-Atlantic region.
- Conduct regular shadowing and in-clinic coaching to strengthen clinical standards, case management, and communication skills.
- Provide guidance on complex cases and promote evidence-based medicine across all clinics.
- Partner with regional operations leaders to ensure alignment between medical and operational excellence.
Recruiting & Professional Development
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and the company Chief Veterinary Officer to recruit, interview, and onboard top veterinary talent.
- Lead mentoring and training initiatives, including continuing education programs.
- Represent Bond Vet at veterinary schools, conferences, and industry events to attract and inspire future talent.
Medical Quality & Compliance
- Uphold Bond Vet’s medical protocols, standards of care, and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Analyze key performance and medical quality metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement action plans.
- Drive consistency across clinics through collaboration with central teams in Operations, Technology, HR, and Training.
Team Engagement & Culture
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and medical integrity across the Mid-Atlantic region.
- Partner with clinic leadership to strengthen engagement, retention, and employee satisfaction.
- Recognize and celebrate clinical achievements while reinforcing Bond Vet’s values and mission.
Clinical Practice
- Maintain a limited clinical schedule to remain grounded in patient care and lead by example in delivering high-quality medicine.
- Serve as a regional resource for clinical case consultation and client communication support.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree from an accredited university. May include board certification.
- State licensure that is in good standing OR eligibility for such licensure – to include all states for clinics under supervision. DEA licensure and CDS licensure if needed for all states for clinics under supervision
- 7+ years of clinical experience, including experience in medical operations, program development, or multi-site/regional leadership responsibilities.
- Comfort in general practice and urgent care veterinary settings (willing and able to complete clinical shifts).
- Excellent written/verbal communication; confident presenter/facilitator; comfortable with basic metrics and dashboards.
