  • Ensure product compliance with the safety regulations and quality standards

You’ll be comfortable managing small-scale engineering projects from start to finish – crucially, you’ll be able to turn your project management skills to other areas of our business as well. In your first couple of months, you’ll undertake a procurement review, identifying the most cost-effective options to source key components and working closely with our purchasing team to optimise our supply chain, switching suppliers where necessary. After that, you’ll prioritise managing the compliance and certification processes for our award-winning machines, alongside delivering a range of high profile engineering projects on time and within budget.

The certification role here is key, and you will have previous experience of managing certification processes. Our ideal candidate will also be an effective project and process manager, someone who is organised, reliable, and who gets satisfaction from seeing tasks through to completion. You will be able to work collaboratively and effectively with colleagues from a range of backgrounds, as well as producing quality work in a fast paced environment.

Please note that this is an in-person role, with an expectation that the successful candidate will be based close to full time in our offices and workshop in Woolwich.

  • Strong background in engineering (mechanical or manufacturing preferred) and in product certifications (ideally including CE and UKCA)
  • Project management qualification and 3+ years of experience with it
  • Strong communicator with solid people management skills
  • Excellent written and spoken English

Desirable

  • Previous procurement experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the supply chain is an advantage (we can provide training if you don’t have this experience)
  • Experience in training others

Our offer

  • Attractive remuneration
  • Private health insurance subject to successful completion of probation (6 months)
  • Free fruit, snacks and discounted in-office healthy meals (and some less healthy ones!)
  • Exceptional learning opportunities. You will be part of a fast growing scale-up with a dynamic team, with the opportunity to learn from a highly talented group of people.
  • On-site parking
  • Relaxed dress code in the office

Location: Woolwich, East London

Salary: £55 – 75k, depending on experience.
