ABOUT THE ROLE 

The Scrum Master will be responsible for facilitating Agile processes across up to four development teams, ensuring teams stay on track with sprint goals, manage workflows effectively, and collaborate efficiently. This role focuses on coordination, execution, and process optimization rather than Agile coaching, making it ideal for someone with project facilitation or junior project management experience. 

Working closely with the Technical Project Manager, Senior Director of Engineering, and Product Managers, the Scrum Master will ensure that teams have what they need to execute sprints efficiently while maintaining clear communication between stakeholders. 

This position is focused on structured facilitation, keeping teams aligned with delivery objectives, and ensuring project milestones and sprint timelines are met. 

 

WHAT WILL BE EXPECTED OF THIS ROLE 

  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives) for up to four development teams. 
  • Monitor and track sprint progress, ensuring teams stay on schedule and risks are identified early. 
  • Coordinate with Product Managers and Technical Project Managers to align sprint goals, dependencies, and priorities. 
  • Manage Jira boards and sprint tracking, ensuring stories and tasks are properly updated and workflows are streamlined. 
  • Ensure team blockers and impediments are escalated and resolved efficiently. 
  • Assist in cross-team coordination, ensuring dependencies are well managed between teams. 
  • Maintain and update project documentation in Confluence, ensuring stakeholders have visibility into sprint progress. 
  • Track sprint health and team velocity, providing reports and insights on team progress. 
  • Support communication between engineering, product, and leadership by keeping teams aligned with business objectives. 
  • Help standardize and optimize Agile execution processes to improve efficiency across teams. 

 

WHAT MAKES YOU PERFECT FOR THE ROLE 

  • You are a servant leader. 
  • 5+ years of experience in a Scrum Master, Project Analyst, or Junior Project Manager role. 
  • Experience facilitating Agile workflows for software development teams. 
  • Strong Jira and Confluence skills, able to manage and optimize workflows. 
  • Excellent organizational and coordination skills, ensuring teams stay on track with sprint timelines. 
  • Comfortable working with multiple development teams (3-4 teams simultaneously). 
  • Ability to identify and escalate blockers quickly to keep work moving forward. 
  • Strong communication skills, ensuring transparency between engineering, product, and leadership. 
  • Experience working with SaaS environments. 
  • Experience working within healthcare (clinical, supporting roles or vendors).  
  • Previous experience in a tech-driven or SaaS environment is a plus. 
  • Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM) is a plus but not required. 

 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE 

  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring accurate tracking of team progress. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple teams. 
  • Strong collaboration skills, working with product and engineering teams. 
  • Familiarity with Agile principles and sprint execution (without needing to coach teams on Agile methodologies). 
  • Experience in task and milestone tracking, ensuring work is completed on time. 
  • Comfortable facilitating and documenting team discussions and process improvements. 
  • Proactive management of agile teams, sprint and metrics. 
  • Strong understanding of agile metrics and KPIs
