Director of Sales

United States (Remote)

About Us

Boostlingo is a leading language technology platform powering interpretation and translation services for healthcare, legal, government, and enterprise clients worldwide. Named an Inc. Magazine Best Workplace for four consecutive years, we are a high-growth, mission-driven company at the intersection of language access and AI innovation. Our team operates with urgency, operates with heart, and holds the bar high — for each other and for the people we serve.

What It Means To Be a Boostie

At Boostlingo, we operate through the lens of our four Core Values. These Core Values drive everything we do; from how we approach identifying talent we invite to join the team, to the energy and contributions we bring to our amazing culture, to the decisions we make at both the tactical and strategic level. To be a Boostie means to embody these Core Values every day:

  • Positive Vibes: Bring positive energy and a solutions-oriented mindset to every interaction. High performance isn't just about outputs — it's about showing up with intentionality, resilience, and the belief that obstacles are problems worth solving.
  • Drive Change: Question the status quo, challenge assumptions, adapt quickly, and take action even when the path isn't perfectly clear. Be proactive rather than reactive — and lean into AI as a force multiplier.
  • Be Bold, Stay Humble: Growth lives in the tension between confidence and humility — be willing to stretch beyond what's comfortable, own your development, and invest in the potential of the people around you. Every voice matters, and no one person is bigger than the team.
  • Be Inclusive: Create and contribute to an environment where anyone can feel welcomed, supported, respected, and valued. Inclusive teams collaborate better — bring your full self, invest in others, and build the psychological safety that makes shared impact possible.

Why This Role Matters

Our VP of Sales built Boostlingo's SMB and mid-market sales team and now runs a wider organization. This role takes over the seat she left behind, and takes it further: you will manage a team of 7 Account Executives today and lead the scaling of that team from here.

What's needed is a people leader who can hold this team to its number week over week, stay close enough to the deals to know when a forecast is real, and bring the account-based rigor and AI-era tooling that the next stage of growth depends on.

The Opportunity

You'll lead and manage Boostlingo's small and mid-market sales team, selling interpretation and translation technology into organizations that cannot afford to get language access wrong. You'll report to the VP of Sales, sit as a valued member of our senior sales leadership team, and play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, developing strategic sales initiatives, and coaching the team toward smashing sales targets — all while having some fun.

Pipeline comes from a large SDR organization. Reporting, systems, and data come from our Revenue Operations team. You'll sit alongside our Enterprise Sales Directors, sharing accounts and handing deals across segments as they grow. This is a highly visible role with continuous interaction across every level of the organization, including other leadership team members and internal and external partners.

What You'll Own

  • Work directly with the Vice President of Sales and Chief Revenue Officer to develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy that drives and supports the strategic growth plans of the organization
  • Positively impact and enhance the operational ability to achieve business objectives through high-touch sales strategy, results-driven execution, and top-notch leadership
  • Direct and develop a team of sales talent to create and execute strategic plans and achieve optimal outcomes across an omni-channel organization
  • Set and maintain a high standard of analytic rigor in constructing robust BI insights — generate regular sales reports, analyze data, and accurately forecast sales to make informed strategic decisions
  • Implement and enforce a disciplined approach to sales activity, including account-based sales strategies, ensuring all team members adhere to consistent sales processes and best practices
  • Track and analyze key performance metrics to identify areas of improvement and enhance the effectiveness of the sales team's efforts
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, providing regular coaching and training to refine the team's sales techniques and maximize productivity
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies, with a strong focus on account-based sales, to effectively penetrate and expand our presence in targeted regions and industries
  • Create and execute territory planning to optimize coverage and identify new opportunities for growth within specific regions
  • Support talent development initiatives — identify skill gaps and design training programs to enhance the capabilities of the sales team
  • Lead the onboarding process for new team members, ensuring a smooth transition into their roles with the training and support they need
  • Foster a culture of accountability and a results-oriented mindset among team members
  • Create and execute plans to build a strong and steady pipeline of potential clients, leveraging your experience and knowledge of the language industry
  • Employ account-based sales methodologies to identify and target high-value prospects within key accounts
  • Utilize our sales tech stack — Salesforce, Salesloft, Attention, HubSpot, ZoomInfo, DealHub, and 6Sense — to enhance sales efficiency, track performance metrics, and optimize the sales process
  • Stay up to date with emerging sales technologies and AI tools, and continuously improve the team's capabilities with them
  • Provide regular performance feedback and conduct performance evaluations to ensure continuous improvement
  • Facilitate the effective execution of industry trade shows to drive brand awareness and lead generation opportunities
  • Maintain an efficient flow of information between all levels, including internal and external contacts, on a wide spectrum of plans and priorities
  • Travel up to 50%

This description is general in nature and is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned as needed to meet company goals.

Profile of Our Ideal Candidate

You are a seasoned sales professional with a profound passion for leading a team, preferably within a startup environment. You've sold into healthcare technology or the language services industry, and you know those buying cycles well enough to coach a rep through one — who signs, who blocks, and how long it really takes.

You are a strategic thinker who can develop and execute effective sales strategies, plans, and tactics to maximize revenue and market penetration, and you communicate, negotiate, and present well enough to be trusted in front of a customer's executive team. You prioritize, seek out, and contribute to an environment of collaboration, high performance, and respect among all team members. You are an adept multi-tasker who can quickly prioritize and effectively delegate.

You are thoughtful and self-reflective. You are willing to teach and willing to learn. And you have a sense of humor and a preference toward having fun — that one is more than a nice-to-have here.

Process Improvement Skills

Three things need to get better, and we'd like you to own them.

First, sales discipline: stage exit criteria that mean something, account-based sales practices applied consistently, and a forecast the VP of Sales and CRO can take to the board. You inspect deals in Salesforce rather than asking Revenue Operations to pull a report for you, and you hold your reps to the same standard in partnership with the RevOps team.

Second, AE ramp: new hires should reach their first closed deal faster than they do today, and that takes real enablement and a real onboarding plan, not a slide deck.

Third, AI fluency on the team. AI fluency is expected company-wide at Boostlingo. You use these tools in your own daily workflow and you expect the same from the team you lead — which means getting a skeptical AE to adopt them, not just announcing a rollout.

What This Role Is Not

This is not a VP seat or a chance to build a go-to-market organization from scratch. The team, the segment, and the motion already exist, and you would report to a VP of Sales who ran this book herself.

It is also not an individual contributor role. You will be in deals — multi-threading, negotiating, unblocking reps — but you are measured on your team's number, not a personal quota.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in B2B sales, with direct experience selling into healthcare technology or the language services industry
  • 3+ years as a second-line manager, leading and mentoring a team of Account Executives/BDRs, including hiring, coaching, and driving their success
  • Proven track record of exceeding team sales targets and driving revenue growth
  • Uses AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gong/Attention-style call intelligence, and similar) as part of your own daily workflow, and can articulate the value of AI-powered or AI-enabled solutions to skeptical or technical buyers

Preferred Qualifications

  • Language services or interpretation industry experience specifically
  • Start-up or high-growth-stage experience
  • Familiarity with our sales tech stack: Salesforce, Salesloft, Attention, HubSpot, ZoomInfo, DealHub, and 6Sense
  • Account-based sales methodology and territory planning experience
  • Experience driving pipeline and brand awareness through industry trade shows

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 07/31/2029

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
