WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A BOOSTIE

At Boostlingo, we operate through the lens of our four Core Values. These Core Values drive everything we do; from how we approach identifying talent we invite to join the team, to the energy and contributions we bring to our amazing culture, to the decisions we make at both the tactical and strategic level. To be a Boostie means to embody these Core Values every day:

  • Positive Vibes: Bring positive energy and a solutions-oriented mindset to every interaction. High performance isn’t just about outputs — it’s about showing up with intentionality, resilience, and the belief that obstacles are problems worth solving.
  • Drive Change: Stay curious, challenge assumptions, adapt quickly, and take action even when the path isn’t perfectly clear. Be proactive rather than reactive — and lean into AI as a force multiplier.
  • Be Bold, Stay Humble: Growth lives in the tension between confidence and humility — be willing to stretch beyond what’s comfortable, own your development, and invest in the potential of the people around you. Every voice matters, and no one person is bigger than the team.
  • Be Inclusive: Create and contribute to an environment where anyone can feel welcomed, supported, respected, and valued. Inclusive teams collaborate better — bring your full self, invest in others, and build the psychological safety that makes shared impact possible.

Boostlingo is extremely honored to have been recognized as one of Inc. Magazine's Best Workplaces for the last three consecutive years (2022-2025). This esteemed recognition reflects the dedication that our incredible team has towards embodying our Core Values every day and we couldn’t be prouder of this team!

About the Role

We're looking for a detail-obsessed, solutions-oriented Junior Attorney or Paralegal to own the end-to-end sales contracting process, reporting to the VP of Legal & Compliance. This is a high-volume, high-visibility role at the intersection of Legal and Revenue/Go To Market functions — you'll be the person who keeps deals moving without sacrificing the terms that protect the company. You'll draft, redline, and negotiate a large volume of sales agreements against tight SLAs, working directly with Sales, Deal Desk, Rev Ops, and Finance to unblock contracts and get to “yes” on terms that work for everyone.

The ideal candidate combines a lawyer's precision with a dealmaker's pragmatism: someone who reads every clause twice, catches the inconsistency everyone else missed, and then finds the creative middle ground that gets a stuck contract signed.

What You'll Own

Contract Lifecycle Management

  • Own full-cycle drafting, review, and negotiation of sales contracts — MSAs, SOWs, Order Forms, DPAs, BAAs, NDAs, and amendments — from initial draft through execution.
  • Manage a high-volume contract pipeline against defined SLAs, prioritizing and triaging based on deal urgency, size, and complexity.
  • Redline incoming customer paper against Boostlingo's playbook and fallback positions, flagging material deviations for escalation.

Negotiation & Problem-Solving

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Sales and customers on contract terms, driving negotiations to close.
  • Identify contractual blockers early and proactively propose alternative language or structures that satisfy both risk tolerance and commercial goals.
  • Know when to hold a position, when to compromise, and when to escalate — exercising sound judgment on what's truly non-negotiable versus what's flexible.

Process & Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Maintain and continuously improve the contract playbook, templates, and fallback clause library.
  • Track contract status, turnaround times, and bottlenecks; report on volume and SLA performance to the VP of Legal & Compliance.
  • Partner with Deal Desk and Finance on pricing, billing terms, and revenue recognition implications of contract language.
  • Coordinate with Security and Compliance on data protection, BAA, and SOC 2 Type II-related terms for regulated customers, including healthcare and language access accounts.
  • Support contract lifecycle management (CLM) tooling and workflow improvements to increase throughput as deal volume scales with Boostlingo's AI-first growth.

Risk & Compliance

  • Ensure contracts comply with company policy, applicable law, and industry-specific requirements, including HIPAA/BAA obligations for healthcare and language access customers.
  • Maintain organized, audit-ready contract records and metadata in support of Boostlingo's broader compliance program.

What You'll Bring

Minimum Qualifications

  • J.D. or paralegal certification/degree, with 1–4 years of relevant contract drafting and negotiation experience (in-house, law firm commercial practice, or paralegal role supporting a commercial legal team).
  • Demonstrated experience managing a high volume of commercial contracts in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Extraordinary attention to detail — you catch what others miss, every time.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to explain legal terms in plain language to non-legal stakeholders.
  • A pragmatic, creative problem-solver who can find acceptable middle ground rather than getting stuck on positions.
  • Comfort operating with ambiguity and competing priorities, and confidence making judgment calls within delegated authority.
  • Proficiency with contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools and redlining in Word/Google Docs (track changes fluency is a must).

Preferred

  • SaaS or technology industry experience, particularly subscription/usage-based commercial models.
  • Familiarity with data privacy and security terms (DPAs, BAAs, SOC 2-related provisions).
  • Experience supporting a Sales or Deal Desk function directly, with an understanding of sales cycle pressure and SLA-driven workflows.
  • Prior experience building or refining contract templates and playbooks.

What Success Looks Like

  • Contracts consistently turned around within SLA, with a shrinking backlog as volume grows.
  • Sales and Deal Desk trust you as a partner who removes friction, not a bottleneck.
  • A well-maintained playbook and fallback library that reduces escalations over time.
  • Legal risk is properly managed without becoming a blocker to revenue.

Why Boostlingo

  • Join a four-time Inc. Magazine Best Workplace at a pivotal moment in the company's AI-first transformation.
  • High-impact, high-visibility role with direct exposure to Legal, Sales, and Executive Leadership.
  • Backed by Mainsail Partners, with a fast-growing customer base across healthcare, government, and enterprise language access.
