WHAT WE NEED
Bopat Electric is building a pipeline of licensed Commercial Journeyman Electricians for upcoming construction projects in Maryland.
We are looking for experienced electricians who enjoy hands-on commercial construction, working as part of a skilled field team, mentoring apprentices, and delivering safe, high-quality electrical installations.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Perform commercial electrical installations, renovations, tenant fit-outs, and upgrades
- Install conduit, feeders, panelboards, switchgear, transformers, lighting, and power distribution systems
- Read and work from blueprints, electrical drawings, specifications, and one-line diagrams
- Complete assigned work independently based on project requirements and field conditions
- Work closely with foremen, project managers, apprentices, and other field personnel
- Support safe, efficient, high-quality jobsite execution
WHAT YOU BRING
Required
- Active Maryland Journeyman or Master Electrician License. (Candidates holding an equivalent license from Virginia, Delaware, Washington, D.C., or West Virginia may be considered where Maryland reciprocity applies.)
- 4+ years of paid commercial or industrial electrical construction experience
- Strong hands-on experience with conduit, feeders, panels, transformers, switchgear, lighting, and three-phase systems
- Ability to read blueprints and perform work independently at the journeyman level
- Strong knowledge of NEC requirements and commercial construction practices
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and travel when project needs require
Preferred
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
- Experience mentoring apprentices or less-experienced electricians
- Experience on large commercial or industrial projects, including hospitals, data centers, government facilities, or similar complex environments
