WHAT WE NEED

Bopat Electric is building a pipeline of experienced Electrical Apprentices for upcoming commercial construction projects in and around Maryland.

THIS IS NOT AN ENTRY-LEVEL POSITION. CANDIDATES MUST ALREADY HAVE PAID COMMERCIAL OR INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICAL FIELD EXPERIENCE.

We are looking for apprentices who have already developed hands-on field experience and want to continue progressing through commercial construction work, structured apprenticeship training, and mentorship from experienced journeyman electricians.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Assist with commercial electrical installations, renovations, tenant fit-outs, and upgrades
• Install conduit, wiring, lighting, devices, boxes, and other electrical components under supervision
• Assist with wire pulls, feeder installation, panel work, grounding, and equipment connections
• Read and work from basic blueprints, electrical drawings, and project specifications
• Support journeyman electricians and foremen with daily project work
• Maintain tools, materials, and a clean, safe jobsite
• Follow company safety procedures and project-specific requirements

WHAT YOU BRING

Required

• At least 2 years of paid commercial or industrial electrical field experience is required
• Currently enrolled in an approved electrical apprenticeship program or willing to enroll at the appropriate level based on prior training and documented field experience is required
• Hands-on experience with commercial electrical construction tasks such as conduit, wiring, devices, lighting, wire pulls, or material installation
• Ability to perform physical construction work, including lifting, climbing ladders, and working on active job sites
• Reliable transportation to job sites
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to work early starts, overtime, weekends, and travel when project needs require
• Willingness to complete required background check and drug screen

Preferred

• Maryland Electrical Apprentice License
• 2nd-, 3rd-, or higher-year apprenticeship standing
• Current enrollment in IEC, ABC, or another approved apprenticeship program
• Experience reading basic electrical drawings or blueprints
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
• First Aid/CPR or other safety certifications
