About The Role

Reporting to the Director of Business Applications, the objective of the Yardi System Administrator is to ensure optimal performance and usage of Yardi. The Yardi System Administrator is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Yardi lifecycle including implementations, set-ups, configurations, data integrity, security, reporting, maintenance, updates, and process improvements. This role will act as a subject matter expert, ensuring training is provided to users on the Yardi platform, and will be the main point of contact for questions, issues, and support. 

What You'll Do

  • Develop, maintain, and deliver user training materials for common Yardi processes that are customized for BPI's requirements and standards; 
  • Maintain the Yardi security configuration, including ongoing maintenance and completion of regular security monitoring and testing protocols, review of system user reports, and security validations; 
  • Manage upgrades and system improvements of Yardi modules or systems that directly or indirectly impact Yardi; 
  • Oversee all system configuration changes, including new property/entity set-ups, user maintenance, licenses, and access; 
  • Translate new business structures into entity structures in Yardi; 
  • Maintain master chart of accounts (account activations, user account requests and mapping) and support overall integrity of data and reporting; 
  • Review system integrity indicators (vendor duplicates, ICO variances, aging credits/receivables) and report data issues to Accounting; 
  • Create custom Yardi analytics or data downloads based on user requests; 
  • Act as the point person for Yardi tables and Yardi data dictionary questions and requests; 
  • Manage projects, update workflows, complete month end and property closes; 
  • Enhance and leverage Yardi modules to support business needs (including identifying opportunities for automation); 
  • Maintain quality relationships with users, external consultants, and vendors to maximize Yardi’s potential; 
  • Advocate for functional enhancements to Yardi system to increase the user experience and overall system functionality and security; 
  • Interface with various 3rd party vendors. 

What You Bring

  • Two (2) years of experience working with Yardi Voyager including: 
  • Exposure or demonstrated capability using Yardi Report Writer; 
  • Strong knowledge of how data is stored/maintained in the Yardi system; 
  • Direct experience working in Commercial & Residential modules; 
  • Direct experience working in Payscan & Advanced Budgeting modules would be an asset. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, I.T., or related field; 
  • Knowledge of fundamental accounting principles; 
  • Excellent communication skills demonstrated through ability to engage, train and communicate with end users clearly and concisely; 
  • Ability to build and foster strong relationships across the organization and with external partners. 

 

Our salary ranges and bonus percentages are determined by job family and level. Base salary is determined by a combination of factors including, but not limited to, education and training, years of relevant experience, and internal equity.

Salary

$88,200 - $121,000 CAD
