About The Role

Bosa Properties is looking for a Senior Construction Manager to join our team of capable real estate professionals. Reporting to the Director of Construction, this individual will have a unique opportunity to lead multiple mixed use development projects from pre-construction through to completion. The Senior Construction Manager will act as the project representative, liaising with the respective Development Managers, Consultants, and Construction Management teams. They will play a key role in facilitating consistency and accountability to achieve project schedules, budgets and key deliverables.

What You'll Do

Project Management

  • Lead construction projects from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Establish and maintain project timelines, monitor progress, and implement adjustments to meet deadlines.
  • Prepare and present project status reports to senior leadership and stakeholders.

Team Leadership and Coordination

  • Supervise and mentor project managers, site supervisors, and other on-site staff.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture that aligns with Bosa’s values.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure project requirements are met.

Budgeting and Cost Control

  • Develop and manage project budgets, including cost forecasting and expenditure tracking.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analysis, manage change orders, and ensure cost-effective practices throughout the construction process.
  • Work closely with procurement to source and negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors.

Quality Assurance and Safety Compliance

  • Ensure all projects meet Bosa’s high standards of quality and craftsmanship.
  • Monitor adherence to health and safety regulations, fostering a safe working environment.
  • Implement quality control measures and conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and industry standards.

Stakeholder Communication and Relationship Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including clients, community members, and regulatory authorities.
  • Resolve any issues or disputes promptly to maintain positive relationships.
  • Ensure transparency and communication with all parties involved in the project lifecycle.

What You Bring

  • Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Eight (8) years of experience in construction management, with a focus on large-scale residential and/or commercial projects.
  • Proven experience in project planning, budgeting, and scheduling, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, industry best practices, and safety regulations.
  • Good at leading, communicating, and problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project) and other relevant tools.
  • PMP or other relevant certifications will be considered an asset.

 

 

 

Our salary ranges and bonus percentages are determined by job family and level. Base salary is determined by a combination of factors including, but not limited to, education and training, years of relevant experience, and internal equity.

Salary

$127,500 - $159,400 CAD
