About The Role

As a Tax Manager, you will take ownership of all aspects of tax management, including compliance, reporting, and strategic tax planning. You will play a pivotal role in identifying and managing tax risks, while working collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external advisors to develop and execute strategies that optimize tax efficiency for the company.

You’ll bring a proactive approach to keeping our business ahead of changes in legislation, ensuring that our financial reporting and compliance processes reflect current requirements. This is an opportunity to shape how Bosa Properties manages its tax operations — through thoughtful planning, process improvement, and mentorship of team members.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the preparation and review of key tax documentation, including monthly instalment schedules, year-end tax provisions, and income tax schedules for both management reporting and audited financial statements.

  • Stay current with changes in tax legislation, assess their impact on the business, and recommend appropriate actions to ensure compliance and efficiency.

  • Provide guidance on tax estimation processes for transactions and operational forecasts included in cash flow budgets.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external advisors to analyze the tax and accounting implications of business transactions and ensure timely execution.

  • Identify opportunities to improve and automate tax processes for greater accuracy and efficiency.

  • Partner closely with Accounting, Legal, Finance, and FP&A teams to support tax reporting and compliance requirements.

  • Support and mentor junior tax staff through training, regular feedback, and review of work deliverables.

  • Review external deliverables such as tax step plans and memos, providing clear and actionable feedback.

  • Maintain strong working paper documentation and standardized tax procedures to support team training and knowledge sharing.

  • Monitor and manage tax compliance deadlines, ensuring all filings and transactions are completed on schedule.

What You Bring

  • CPA designation (or equivalent)

  •  A minimum of 4-6 years of progressive experience in tax, ideally within a complex corporate or real estate environment.

  • Strong technical knowledge of Canadian corporate tax, with exposure to international tax considered an asset.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach.

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Experience leading or mentoring junior team members.
