Technical accounting, policy and internal controls

  • Serve as the primary owner of technical accounting research, policy interpretation and documentation, including revenue recognition, intercompany activity and transfer pricing.
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies, standard operating procedures, approval matrices, reconciliation standards and a practical internal control framework.
  • Identify control, data and process risks; implement remediation that strengthens accuracy, auditability, segregation of duties and operational effectiveness.

  • Maintain a Finance transformation roadmap; translate business needs into clear requirements, process maps, data definitions, control requirements, test scenarios and acceptance criteria.
  • Partner with Technology to evaluate solutions, lead testing, assess readiness, drive adoption and change management and confirm that delivered capabilities meet Finance’s operating needs.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify and automate recurring work while preserving effective controls, evidence, data quality and appropriate human review.

Leadership and partnership

  • Partner effectively with the CFO, FP&A, Technology, Legal, Procurement, HR, external advisers and business leaders to support sound financial operations and decision-making.
  • Provide updates to the CFO on close status, control risks, accounting issues, audit and tax matters, service provider performance and transformation progress.
  • Shape the future finance operating model as the business and transformation agenda evolve.
