We are currently looking for the engineers for the following teams:

The Content Intelligence team powers AI at Box, enhancing both new and existing products with cutting-edge AI capabilities. We integrate AI-driven solutions using top-tier providers and, as a platform team, equip ML engineers with the tools they need to efficiently run and evaluate experiments. Beyond AI, we maintain mission-critical, event-driven systems that track user activity.
- Box Apps is an intelligent builder designed to empower businesses to create custom applications in hours instead of weeks. By combining content, metadata, workflows, and users, Box Apps allows teams to build tailored tools that enhance productivity across departments. With its intuitive drag-and-drop interface, Box Apps makes it easy to create dynamic dashboards for tracking processes, managing metadata at scale, and extracting AI-driven insights. From automating document handling to launching workflows, Box Apps delivers streamlined solutions that keep information accurate, organized, and accessible - powering smarter, faster decision-making for the teams.
Your expertise is essential to our journey in shaping tomorrow's content management landscape!
Who you are:
- 6+ years of professional software development experience
- Proficient in Java (preferred), PHP or Scala
- You possess strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, software design principles, and object-oriented programming
- Assess, communicate and complete project milestones with manager and team members in a time sensitive manner
- Adapt to the technical and stylistic needs of integrations and projects as they occur; including technical tools, programming languages, technical limitations, and product requirements
- Review and assess the technical feasibility of project requirements and propose innovative solutions
- Be the technical expert and provide guidance to junior engineers on best practices, coding standards, and complex technical issues
- Must speak English proficiently
Preferred skills:
- Experience with public cloud systems such as GCP, AWS or Azure
- Experience contributing to open source project
