WHY BOX NEEDS YOU
Shield is a team of engineers specializing in security and protecting the flow of our customers' content so that information doesn't fall into the wrong hands. Shield’s mission is to protect the flow of information while delivering a frictionless user experience so that Box is the tool of choice for secure Cloud Content Management. Our customers trust Box to keep their valuable content safe. Shield does that by detecting threats using various machine learning based anomaly detection algorithms and applying restrictions on customer content using classifications and access policies.
The team develops infrastructure to classify content, and these classifications power the security restrictions within Shield. The team and company are in the early stages of incorporating generative AI and ML functionality into our offerings. We're looking for engineers who are excited about designing and building new capabilities for Shield and ready to jump on to any part of the development stack.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own end to end delivery of customer facing product features.
- Work with backend and ML engineers to understand various parts of the stack (ML, Backend, UI) to be able to jump onto any stack when needed.
- Implement and deliver pixel perfect designs using React and its ecosystem.
- Work with teammates to foster solid engineering principles and represent our engineering values.
WHO YOU ARE
- BS with 2+ years of experience or MS with 1+ years of experience in full stack development.
- At least 1+ years of experience using React and its toolchain. Solid understanding of core Javascript is a must.
- You have worked on at least one server side language (C++/Java/Node/Python/Scala) and you want to do full stack development delivering end to end features.
- You are passionate about end user experience and think about every aspect of a feature from a user's action on the browser to communication with the backend and storing/retrieving data.
- Deep understanding of algorithms, data structures and software design are must.
