WHY BOX NEEDS YOU

We are looking for an experienced Release Manager, who will be acting as Go To Market (Sales and Marketing organization at Box) Salesforce DevOps Engineer to manage and optimize the integration, deployment, and continuous delivery processes within our Salesforce ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Copado, Salesforce DevOps, and Release Management (RM) practices to ensure smooth and efficient releases across multiple teams and environments.

As a key member of our team, you will work closely with the Salesforce development and operations teams to streamline the release processes, ensure alignment with business goals, and improve the overall speed and quality of our product releases.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Manage and support Salesforce deployments using Copado for continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
  • Implement best practices for Copado, including setting up pipelines, managing user stories, and automating deployments.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure efficient deployment pipelines and troubleshoot deployment issues as needed.
  • Lead and coordinate release management activities, ensuring proper planning, scheduling, and execution of Salesforce releases.
  • Develop and maintain release schedules, identify release dependencies, and communicate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business needs.
  • Oversee the coordination of pre-release testing, validation, and post-release monitoring.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including Salesforce developers, QA, and operations to ensure smooth integration and deployment processes.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on the progress of release cycles, highlighting any risks or challenges.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve DevOps processes, tools, and methodologies to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the release pipeline.Automate manual processes wherever possible to minimize errors and speed up the release cycle. 
  • Resolve deployment issues and provide ongoing support for production environments.Perform root cause analysis for release failures and proactively address recurring issues.

 

WHO YOU ARE

  • 5+ years of experience in Salesforce DevOps, specifically with Copado for CI/CD pipelines and Salesforce Release Management.
  • Hands-on experience in Release Management (RM) within a Salesforce environment, including coordinating releases, ensuring release quality, and troubleshooting deployment issues.
  • Proficient with Copado, Salesforce development tools, and deployment strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of Git, Jenkins, CI/CD practices, and other DevOps tools.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce environments such as Sandbox, Development, and Production.
  • Knowledge of Version Control systems and experience with GitHub/GitLab.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce environments, metadata, and deployment tools like Change Sets and Salesforce DX.
  • Understanding of Salesforce security, permissions, and data management best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Preferred Skills:
    • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer or other Salesforce certifications
    • Salesforce Certified Administrator or Platform Developer 
    • Familiarity with Salesforce DX and integration tools.
    • Experience with Jira or other project management tools.
