WHY BOX NEEDS YOU
Box is building a best in class Strategic Sourcing Team in the Bay Area, CA and were looking for an motivated Strategic Sourcing Specialist to support our Sr. Strategic Sourcing Manager. In this role, you’ll partner across Marketing, Real Estate/Workplace Services, HR, Contingent Workforce, Professional Services and the Travel Program to drive data-backed decision-making, streamline procure-to-pay workflows and deliver exceptional customer service to our internal stakeholders. WHAT YOU'LL DO

Assist stakeholders by providing guidance on procurement tools, data insights and sourcing best practices under supervision.

Conduct category spend analyses using procurement and business data to identify trends and opportunities for savings.

Support Sourcing activities, vendor engagements, and contract execution, with opportunities to learn and gradually lead negotiations for smaller scale agreements

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their purchasing requirements.

Assist in managing procurement activities, collaborating with stakeholders and vendors under guidance, with the goal of independently handling the end-to-end procurement process over time

Assist in managing Marketing, Real Estate, HR, Contingent Worker, Professional Services and Travel categories.

Support supplier selection, evaluation, and contract negotiations under guidance, ensuring alignment with procurement policies and risk management standards.

Support management in coordinating RFx processes (RFPs, RFIs, RFQs) to ensure efficient, competitive, and successful sourcing outcomes.

Deliver exceptional internal customer service, promptly addressing requests and questions from internal teams.

Develop Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) models to inform sourcing strategies and business cases.

Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers, ensuring alignment, performance reviews, and resolution of performance issues.
WHO YOU ARE

Bachelors degree in Business, Information systems, Finance, or a related field.

1–3+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing or analytics (ideally within a fast-paced technology environment).

Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel or similar tools to build models and analyze spend.

Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Advanced Excel proficiency, including cost modeling, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis, and spend/savings evaluation, to support data-driven decision-making and reporting.

Collaborative mindset, self-starter attitude, and eagerness to learn.
