WHY BOX NEEDS YOU
We are seeking a Leave of Absence (LOA) Analyst to be a part of our Total Rewards team. This role is reporting to the EMEA/APAC Benefits Manager and will work closely with Payroll, People Partners, HR Operations, and the Total Rewards team. WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Leave & Absence: Manage, process and administer EMEA + Australia absence related claims including short-term and long-term absences due to illness, injury, or other reasons and leave requests including, maternity/paternity leave and all other types of leave ensuring compliance with Box’s policies and local legal regulations
  • Absence management: Liaise with employees, HRBPs, and brokers to gather and coordinate necessary documentations for new claims, ongoing claims management and return-to-work processes
  • Policy & Compliance: Provide support to employees on leave & absence rights and a willingness to learn and own international regulation laws for all international locations
  • System administration: Ensure leave and absence types on Workday are configured and accurately maintained on Workday according to countries laws, regulations and Box policies
  • Handles sensitive employee information with confidentiality and professionalism
  • Able to develop leave and time off proposals and policies for manager sign off
  • Maintain/create/audit our international policies including the employee handbooks and audit against our current programs annually​
  • Partner seamlessly with Payroll/ Finance Liaison for monthly payroll close
  • Consult with People Operations on statutory leave process and system design
  • Provide operational support for EMEA/APAC benefits programs including Pensions, Medical/Dental programs, Leave Programs and other local perks and benefits
  • Support end-to end benefits and absence/time off implementations, integrations and operations
  • Proactively engages with Payroll, Enterprise Systems (ES) and third-party service providers to troubleshoot issues; ensure data and process integrity
  • Researches and resolves benefits and absence/time off issues and flaws with internal and external business partners
  • Creates and actively manages service requests to Boxers on leave of absences; tracks progress and ensures timely completion of requests
  • Generates benefits data and audit reports, queries, and analyses on leave of absences
  • Complete other tasks as required

WHO YOU ARE

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Finance, Business or equivalent work experience
  • 1+ year of experience in the generalist benefits (Leave Management) or HR operations in an international or global organization
  • Experience in working with Benefits/HR processes and searching for ways to increase efficiency and improve employee experience
  • A subject matter and strong experience on leave and absence laws and regulations, particularly in EMEA (Poland is required and other markets knowledge will be an asset: UK, Germany, France, Netherlands or Australia)
  • Strong analytical experience
  • Detail orientation while not losing track of big picture, data cleanliness/integrity (be a data ninja!)
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with all levels of employees
  • Understanding of HR and Benefits Administration policies and willingness to learn
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Willingness and ability to prioritize work and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness and ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate across departments
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) and GMail
  • Good knowledge of English and Polish (spoken and in writing)
  • Experience with Workday or HR Systems will be an added value
  • Ability to build strong partnerships and confidence to effectively communicate complex topics with ease and empathy
  • Self-starter, with strong ability to work with minimal direction, build and execute effective project plans
  • Strong work ethic and team-first attitude
  • Strong emotional intelligence, resilience, communication skills, and the ability to influence people
