WHY BOX NEEDS YOU
Box is looking to hire a Senior Product Manager for Governance products to enhance its offerings in content lifecycle management and archiving solutions. As organizations increasingly prioritize data security and compliance, the need for effective governance tools has never been greater. This role will focus on developing strategies that ensure users can manage their content efficiently while adhering to regulatory requirements. By leading these initiatives, the Senior Product Manager will play a crucial part in helping businesses protect sensitive information and maintain control over their digital assets.
In addition, the Senior Product Manager will be responsible for driving innovation within Box's Archive product. With the growing volume of data generated daily, companies require robust solutions that not only store but also organize and retrieve archived content seamlessly. The ideal candidate will leverage market insights and user feedback to create features that simplify access to archived materials while ensuring they remain secure and compliant with industry standards. Ultimately, this position aims to strengthen Box’s reputation as a leader in governance solutions by delivering exceptional value to customers navigating complex data landscapes.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Product Strategy Development: Define and refine the product vision and strategy for governance and archive solutions, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, marketing, and sales to gather requirements and ensure successful product delivery.
- Market Research: Conduct research on industry trends, customer needs, and competitor offerings to inform product decisions and identify opportunities for innovation.
- Roadmap Management: Create and maintain the product roadmap, prioritizing features based on customer feedback, business impact, and resource availability.
- User Experience Oversight: Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create intuitive user interfaces that enhance user experience while meeting compliance standards.
- Performance Analysis: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to governance and archive products; analyze data to drive improvements in functionality or user engagement.
- Customer Engagement: Engage with customers through interviews or surveys to gather insights about their experiences with the products; use this feedback for continuous improvement.
- Compliance Monitoring: Stay updated on regulatory changes affecting data governance; ensure that products comply with relevant laws such as GDPR or HIPAA.
WHO YOU ARE
- 5+ years in Data Governance, with a focus on governance frameworks and best practices for content lifecycle management or records management.
- 5+ years of experience in product management, with a proven track record of developing and launching successful products that meet market needs.
- Ability to analyze data, user feedback, and market trends to inform product decisions, optimize features, and drive strategic initiatives.
- Proven ability to work effectively with diverse teams—including engineering, design, marketing, and sales—to ensure alignment on product goals and deliverables.
- Experience applying user-centered design principles to create intuitive products that enhance the user experience while addressing customer pain points.
- Strong project management abilities to oversee product development timelines, budgets, resources efficiently while ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for articulating product vision clearly to stakeholders at all levels and facilitating productive discussions.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) affecting content governance ensures that products comply with legal requirements while meeting industry standards.
- Understanding of technology stacks related to cloud storage solutions or enterprise software applications relevant to governance products enhances collaboration with technical teams.
- Ability to develop long-term strategies for product growth while aligning them with the company’s overall goals ensures sustained success in a competitive landscape.
