WHY BOX NEEDS YOU
The AI partnerships and ecosystem team drives partnerships and strategic initiatives that play an outsized role in differentiating and scaling Box. We work closely with external partners and cross-functional teams to identify, deliver, and manage AI partnerships and value-added product integrations that foster innovation and strengthen the Box ecosystem.
As part of this entrepreneurial and results-oriented team, you will help define game-changing partnerships for Box and the broader industry. We are looking for a strategic, execution-focused professional to drive high-impact integrations and partnerships with market-leading AI platforms, cloud providers, enterprise apps, systems integrators, and emerging AI startups. In this role, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to advance Box’s product vision, unlock new go-to-market opportunities, and create mutual value for Box, our partners, and our customers.
This is a highly cross-functional role requiring strategic thinking, product acumen, technical fluency, customer insight, and strong partnership execution. The role collaborates closely with leaders across business development, product management, engineering, developer relations, marketing, public relations, and customer-facing teams to shape and scale AI partnerships, cross-platform solutions, and ecosystem partnerships.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
-
Define and prioritize AI partnership opportunities aligned with Box's product roadmap and corporate objectives.
-
Own technical relationships with strategic and high-growth partners, serving as a trusted advisor to help them develop innovative AI use cases, identify opportunities of mutual benefit, and guide them from initial concept through scalable implementation.
-
Engage hands-on with partner’s product and engineering teams at an early stage to design AI solutions and build POCs that accelerate development.
-
Create and maintain scalable ecosystem guidance — including best practices, sample apps, deployment patterns, technical playbooks, and architecture diagrams — that help partners build and scale with Box’s platform.
-
Enable and recruit AI partners to build with the Box platform through direct outreach, workshops, product briefings, and community events.
-
Represent Box externally through demos, solution design sessions, and clear communication of Box's product vision, helping partners understand and unlock the full value of the platform.
-
Synthesize patterns across partner engagements and feed insights back to Product and Engineering to continuously shape Box's integration strategy and roadmap.
WHO YOU ARE
We are an AI-first company. This means you approach your work with a growth mindset and find ways to leverage AI to help make faster, smarter decisions that will 10X your impact at Box. Key characteristics for success in this role include (but not limited to):
-
4+ years of experience in partner architecture, applied AI, solutions architecture, sales engineering, developer relations, product management, or related roles in AI, SaaS, or software.
-
Deep fluency in AI technologies, trends, and integration patterns — including integration patterns, emerging tooling, and the competitive landscape — and active user of AI tools.
-
Hands-on technical ability to build and validate, with the ability to create prototypes and test integration patterns.
-
Proven experience engaging, enabling, and recruiting partners or customers, including AI-native and enterprise app developers.
-
Strong solutions and enterprise understanding, with the ability to map and architect AI solutions across AI, enterprise SaaS, and line-of-business platforms.
-
Strong communication, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with comfort in external-facing settings.
-
A strategic, creative, self-starting mindset with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and thrive in ambiguity.
