In This Role
As a Researcher on this AI-focused product team, you will explore and uncover key user insights throughout the product development cycle. You will work hands-on with emerging technologies, collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, and contribute to shaping the product’s direction. This role offers the opportunity to drive high-impact research, influence design decisions, and advance your expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methods.
Key Responsibilities

Apply diverse qualitative and quantitative research methods to generate actionable user insights.

Translate product team objectives into structured research plans.

Independently execute studies such as ethnographic explorations, one-on-one interviews, concept testing, and usability testing, with mentorship support as needed.

Produce research reports and actionable recommendations; present findings to stakeholders with clarity and confidence.

Collaborate effectively with researchers, designers, product managers, and engineers to align research efforts with strategic goals.

Foster a growth mindset and curiosity about human behavior and decision-making.

Generate insights that inform ideation and evaluate the effectiveness of design solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of relevant experience in user experience, applied research, or product development; or Master’s degree with 2+ years of experience; or PhD with relevant experience.

Proficient in conducting in-depth interviews, focus groups, usability testing, and concept testing.

Hands-on experience executing primary research.

Skilled in synthesizing research findings and translating them into strategic recommendations.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Experience in consumer products, consumer insights, or product development.

Academic background in a human behavior-related field such as Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, Neuroscience, Communication, Information Science, Media Studies, Computer Science, or Economics.

Consulting experience at design-focused firms or in-house product research teams.
Salary Range
Pay ranges vary based on multiple factors including, without limitation, skill sets, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographical market. The pay range for this position reflects geographic-based ranges for Washington state: $28.85 to $33.65 USD/hourly. The salary/wage and job title for this opening will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience and may be outside this range.
