In This Role
As a Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for being the voice of the brand across TikTok and other expanding social platforms. You will manage high-volume social channels, oversee day-to-day operations, and drive creative strategies to strengthen player engagement. This includes developing content calendars, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and leveraging analytics to refine campaigns. The role provides the opportunity to own a significant piece of a major gaming franchise, exercise creative freedom within established frameworks, and expand your professional portfolio in the gaming space.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement social media strategies that align with brand goals, tone of voice, and audience expectations.
- Manage content calendars, draft and schedule posts, and ensure timely publishing across owned social channels.
- Collaborate with marketing, PR, and game teams to create campaigns for key product moments and franchise expansions.
- Host content ideation sessions and team brainstorms to generate creative concepts.
- Generate and publish content daily while engaging with global audiences and responding to comments.
- Curate user-generated content (UGC) and identify influencers, creators, and community voices to highlight.
- Provide strategic input to creative teams for the development of assets tailored for social platforms.
- Monitor sentiment, track performance analytics, and produce regular reporting dashboards on social impact.
- Ensure community growth and engagement by staying ahead of trends and adapting strategies quickly.
Qualifications
- Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in social media strategy, planning, and execution.
- Minimum 3–5 years in social media roles with analytical ability to translate insights into actions.
- Prior experience working at a major game publisher (minimum 5 years).
- Technical Skills:
- Skilled with analytics tools (Sprinklr or native platform analytics preferred).
- Proficient in Office 365.
- Strong copywriting ability with flexibility to adapt tone of voice.
- Core Competencies:
- Deep knowledge of social media platforms and emerging trends.
- Strong understanding of community engagement and audience growth strategies.
- Data-driven mindset with storytelling and presentation skills.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence without direct authority.
Preferred Qualifications
- Passion for gaming, with direct experience or familiarity in the gaming industry.
- Active Minecraft player or strong awareness of its ecosystem.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with global or large-scale audiences.
- Sharp awareness of pop culture trends and ability to bring creative, relevant ideas to campaigns.
Salary Range
Pay ranges vary based on multiple factors including, without limitation, skill sets, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographical market. The pay range for this position reflects geographically based ranges for Washington state: $90,000 to $95,000 USD/annually. The salary/wage and job title for this opening will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience and may be outside this range.
