We are looking for a Senior Data Operations Specialist (Salesforce Data Cloud) to join us as we build cutting-edge technology solutions!  This is your opportunity to be part of a team that is committed to delivering best in class service to our customers.

 In this role, you will be the subject matter expert on audience data and segmentation logic powering large-scale, personalized communications. This role ensures seamless data flow and synchronization between Salesforce Data Cloud and Salesforce Marketing Cloud, enabling precise targeting and timely delivery across customer journeys. You’ll partner closely with technical, production, and marketing teams to maintain data integrity, support new communication initiatives, and drive continuous improvements in data quality and automation efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as an expert on the data model supporting all Shop and Trip communications.
  • Build, QA, and publish audiences in Salesforce Data Cloud (DC) for activation in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC).
  • Validate attribute mappings and audience logic for new communications.
  • Monitor audience publishing schedules to ensure on-time data delivery to SFMC.
  • Set up and maintain automations between Data Cloud and SFMC.
  • Map Data Cloud outputs to Data Extensions for use in Journey Builder.
  • Participate in Data Ambassador meetings with Communications Owners to provide data insights and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with Production Operations and Developers to ensure smooth integration between DC and SFMC.
  • Conduct daily publishing checks and design alert mechanisms for sync or automation failures.
  • Maintain clear documentation of audience logic, mappings, and data dependencies.
  • Partner with Capability and Solutions teams to validate new data attributes and event feeds.
  • Support QA, UAT, and Go-Live readiness by verifying audience accuracy and journey triggers.

Qualifications:

  • Strong expertise with Salesforce Data Cloud, including Calculated Insights, Identity Resolution, and Activation Targets.
  • Advanced SQL proficiency for segmentation, data validation, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Automation Studio, Journey Builder).
  • Familiarity with Data Streams, Data Actions, and API-based automations.
  • Knowledge of Data Views queries for QA and reporting.
  • Database development experience or equivalent technical foundation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong documentation and collaboration skills using JIRA and Confluence.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Salesforce Data Cloud certification (or equivalent advanced Salesforce credential).
  • Experience with Snowflake or similar data warehousing environments.
  • Prior experience in marketing data operations or CRM data engineering roles.
  • Background in agile or sprint-based production environments.

Salary Range

Pay ranges vary based on multiple factors including, without limitation, skill sets, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographical market. The pay range for this position reflects geographic based ranges for Washington state: $87,000 to $130,000 USD/annually. The salary/wage and job title for this opening will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience and may be outside this range.

Location: Remote — preference for candidates based in the PST time zone, though applicants in other locations will be considered if they are able to work PST hours.
