You will monitor live telemetry during phased rollouts, detect reliability or crash regressions early, and make data-driven decisions to promote, pause, or halt releases.
You will build automated health gates and release promotion logic that replace manual processes, ensuring deployments are safe, predictable, and efficient. You will work closely with engineering, reliability, and release management teams to shorten feedback loops, accelerate rollout timelines, and improve customer experience through stable, high-confidence releases.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines that support phased rollouts and safe deployment practices
- Implement telemetry-driven release gates using crash, reliability, and performance signals
- Monitor live rollout health and identify anomalies, regressions, or crash spikes
- Promote, pause, or halt deployments based on real-time health indicators
- Develop automation to replace manual release and validation workflows
- Build dashboards, alerts, and health metrics using observability tools
- Participate in triage and structured incident response workflows
- Investigate reliability regressions and coordinate mitigation with engineering teams
- Continuously improve deployment velocity while maintaining rollout stability
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, release, and reliability teams
Required Qualifications
- 4–6 years of experience in Deployment Engineering, Release Engineering, or DevOps automation
- Hands-on experience building CI/CD pipelines and phased rollout mechanisms
- Strong understanding of safe deployment strategies (health gates, rollback logic, flighting, staged rollouts)
- 3–5 years of experience working with telemetry, crash diagnostics, and reliability metrics
- Experience writing complex queries in telemetry platforms (e.g., Kusto or similar tools)
- Experience building dashboards, automated alerts, and anomaly detection workflows
- 2–4 years of experience in incident response or operational engineering
- Proven ability to triage regressions and coordinate mitigations in production environments
- Strong scripting or automation skills (PowerShell, Python, C#, or similar)
- Experience working in cross-team, production-facing environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with client or consumer-facing software deployments
- Background in media pipelines, codecs, or performance-sensitive systems
- Experience working with structured incident management systems
- Familiarity with ETW/WPP tracing or similar diagnostic tooling
- Experience designing stop-on-spike or automated halt mechanisms during rollouts
- Experience improving release velocity through automation transformation initiatives
