In This Role
You will serve as a Senior UX Researcher responsible for shaping high‑impact user experiences within communication and collaboration workflows. This position focuses on uncovering user needs, identifying opportunities for innovation—including AI‑driven enhancements—and driving research that informs strategic product and design decisions. You’ll partner closely with designers, product managers, and engineers to deliver insights that elevate end‑to‑end experiences and help teams execute world‑class solutions rooted in human‑centered design.
Responsibilities
Research Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute robust, end‑to‑end research plans and roadmaps to guide product direction across the lifecycle.
- Conduct both qualitative and quantitative studies, including study design, recruiting, moderation, analysis, and reporting.
- Identify opportunities for user‑focused improvements, including AI‑enabled enhancements within calling, meeting, and communication scenarios.
Insight Delivery & Influence
- Translate research findings into actionable opportunities and recommendations that influence product and design decisions.
- Communicate methodologies, strategies, and insights clearly and compellingly to cross‑functional partners and leaders.
- Maintain and manage a knowledge base of research insights leveraged across product, design, and engineering teams.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Partner with design, product, engineering, marketing, and data science teams across global collaborators.
- Participate in design reviews and planning cycles, infusing user insights and strategic recommendations.
- Advocate for UX research’s value and ensure findings inform roadmap prioritization and long‑term vision.
Team & Culture Contribution
- Contribute to elevating research practices, shared learning, and team growth.
- Support cross‑pollination of learnings across researchers and multidisciplinary partners.
- Promote values of diversity, inclusion, transparency, and growth mindset in collaborative environments.
Qualifications (Required)
- 4+ years of product‑focused UX Research experience, including at least 2 years of strategic research influencing product direction.
- MA/MS or PhD in Cognitive/Experimental Psychology, Human Factors, HCI, Statistics, or related field
OR BA/BS in those fields with significant industry experience. - Demonstrated ability to create and execute impactful research programs with division‑wide or company‑wide influence.
- Expertise across the full spectrum of UX research methodologies (qualitative and quantitative).
- Proven ability to translate complex data into clear, compelling insights with measurable impact on product outcomes.
- Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills for storytelling and insight delivery.
- Strong track record of cross‑disciplinary collaboration (design, PM, engineering, marketing, etc.).
- Must meet these hard requirements:
- 4+ years designing and executing robust research plans
- 4+ years translating research insights into actionable recommendations
Preferred Qualifications
- Passion for human‑centered design thinking and strategic/foundational research that identifies big‑picture opportunities.
- Experience researching diverse audiences across the full user lifecycle and journey.
- Ability to balance deep empathy for users with stakeholder constraints and product vision.
- Record of contributing to creative processes, team building, and strengthening research culture.
- Strong organizational and detail‑management skills without losing sight of high‑level insight synthesis.
- Experience influencing multiple levels of leadership through compelling storytelling.
Salary Range
At Blueprint, we strive to offer competitive pay that reflects the value of our team members. Compensation for this role is influenced by a variety of factors, including skills, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographic market.
For candidates based in Washington State, the anticipated salary range is $100,000 to $110,000 annually. Please note that we typically do not hire new employees at the top of the posted range. Actual starting pay will be determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity. The final salary and job title may vary depending on the selected candidate’s qualifications and could fall outside the stated range.
