In This Role

In this role, you will support a high-profile gaming and consumer products organization by delivering data-driven insights across consumer products, partnerships, marketing, and out-of-game experiences. You will focus on answering complex business questions, identifying why key metrics are changing, and translating data findings into clear recommendations for business stakeholders.

This role is not primarily focused on data engineering, ETL, or dashboard creation. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on analytics experience and be comfortable investigating ambiguous “why” questions, such as why user activity is down, what is driving performance changes, whether a program or campaign impacted user behavior, and how out-of-game initiatives connect to broader business or in-product metrics. The position requires someone who can work independently with messy or incomplete data, form hypotheses, analyze trends, and communicate actionable insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with consumer products, marketing, partnerships, and analytics stakeholders to understand business questions and translate them into data-driven analysis.
  • Conduct deep-dive analytics to answer ambiguous “why” questions related to user behavior, product performance, engagement trends, campaign impact, and business outcomes.
  • Analyze complex, high-volume data from multiple sources using SQL, Python, and related analytics tools.
  • Identify key trends, root causes, and business drivers behind changes in critical metrics.
  • Evaluate the impact and ROI of out-of-game initiatives, campaigns, partnerships, and consumer product programs.
  • Connect external business activities to broader digital or in-product performance metrics where applicable.
  • Develop clear insights, recommendations, and visual storytelling for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Maintain and enhance dashboards that help stakeholders monitor performance and support self-service reporting.
  • Support ad hoc analytical requests across multiple stakeholder groups and projects.
  • Collaborate with data engineering and data science partners to ensure reporting and analysis are accurate, scalable, and actionable.
  • Work independently in a fast-paced environment with incomplete, inconsistent, or messy data.
  • Manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality analysis on time.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics, data science, business analytics, product analytics, marketing analytics, or a closely related field.
  • Strong SQL experience, including the ability to query, manipulate, and analyze large datasets.
  • Proficiency with Python for data analysis.
  • Experience using dashboarding or data visualization tools, with Power BI strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience answering open-ended business questions and identifying root causes behind metric changes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, especially in ambiguous situations where the answer is not obvious.
  • Experience creating actionable recommendations based on data findings, not just producing reports or dashboards.
  • Ability to communicate insights clearly through verbal, written, and visual formats.
  • Experience working directly with business stakeholders and translating business needs into analytical approaches.
  • Ability to support multiple projects, stakeholders, or priorities at the same time.
  • Comfortable working with incomplete, dirty, or complex data.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy in reporting and analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in gaming, entertainment, digital products, consumer products, marketing analytics, partnerships analytics, or user behavior analytics.
  • Experience with SparkSQL, Databricks, Azure Data Explorer, or similar big-data analytics environments.
  • Experience with PySpark.
  • Experience analyzing customer behavior, engagement, retention, acquisition, or funnel performance.
  • Experience with cohort analysis, root-cause analysis, experimentation, campaign measurement, or ROI analysis.
  • Experience tying external marketing, partnership, or consumer product activity to digital engagement or product usage metrics.
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholder groups and adapt to shifting business priorities.
  • Local to the Puget Sound / Seattle area and comfortable with a hybrid work arrangement.
  • Interest in gaming or consumer-facing digital products.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
