About the Role
Blueprint is seeking a Graphic Designer to create high-quality templates, presentations, documents, and workbooks for a suite of widely used productivity applications. You’ll combine graphic design fundamentals, visual storytelling, and hands-on production skills to develop polished, accessible content that customers can easily customize.
You’ll collaborate with content leads, designers, product teams, and production partners to translate creative direction and content requirements into scalable, customer-ready designs. This role requires strong attention to detail, technical file-building skills, proactive communication, and the flexibility to adjust priorities as product needs evolve.
What You'll Do
- Design and build high-quality presentation templates, documents, and spreadsheet workbooks.
- Develop layouts, visual systems, and reusable components that support a range of customer needs.
- Translate creative briefs, content requirements, and design direction into polished, production-ready files.
- Apply strong design judgment across typography, color, composition, imagery, spacing, alignment, and content hierarchy.
- Format and refine tables, charts, graphics, and other content elements for clarity, consistency, and visual impact.
- Ensure templates are accessible, technically sound, aligned with established guidelines, and easy for customers to customize.
- Create, edit, organize, and quality-check files across presentation, word-processing, and spreadsheet applications.
- Maintain accurate file structures, consistent styling, and scalable design patterns across deliverables.
- Incorporate AI tools into content and design workflows while maintaining appropriate human review and creative oversight.
- Collaborate with content, design, product, and production partners to incorporate feedback and improve content quality.
- Establish project milestones and meet deadlines while adapting to changing priorities and requirements.
- Communicate proactively about progress, dependencies, risks, and delivery timelines.
- Maintain consistent quality across a high volume of design and production assignments.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communication, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Two to four years of professional graphic design experience focused on presentations, templates, documents, workbooks, or comparable business content.
- Portfolio demonstrating strong typography, layout, composition, color, hierarchy, and overall visual design judgment.
- Hands-on experience designing professional content in presentation, word-processing, and spreadsheet applications.
- Strong understanding of template design, presentation design, document layout, and workbook formatting.
- Experience developing reusable layouts, consistent styles, and scalable design systems.
- Proficiency with industry-standard presentation, document, and spreadsheet software.
- Experience with design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, or both.
- Demonstrated experience using AI-enabled design or productivity tools.
- Ability to interpret creative briefs, follow established direction, and apply feedback efficiently.
- Strong visual, written, verbal, and collaborative communication skills.
- Ability to independently manage multiple projects, establish milestones, and meet deadlines without compromising quality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience creating customer-facing templates or business content for small-business and enterprise audiences.
- Familiarity with accessibility best practices for presentations, documents, and spreadsheets.
- Experience working within established brand systems, design standards, or technical guidelines.
- Strong production design skills, including precise formatting, file cleanup, quality control, and cross-platform testing.
- Experience designing tables, charts, data visualizations, or other structured business content.
- Understanding of how AI can support content creation and design workflows while retaining human creative judgment.
- Experience collaborating with content, design, and product stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to respond effectively to changing priorities and iterative feedback.
Compensation
At Blueprint, we strive to offer competitive pay that reflects the value of our team members. Compensation for this role is influenced by a variety of factors, including skills, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographic market.
For candidates based in Washington State, the anticipated compensation range is $24.00 to $26.00 USD per hour. Please note that we typically do not hire new employees at the top of the posted range. Actual starting pay will be determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity. The final compensation and job title may vary depending on the selected candidate’s qualifications.
Location and Work Arrangement
This is a remote position for candidates located on the West Coast of the United States.
