About Blueprint

Blueprint is a technology solutions firm headquartered in Bellevue, Washington, with teams across the United States. We help organizations turn complex challenges into meaningful outcomes by connecting strategy and execution across AI, cloud, data, product development, and emerging technology.

Our culture is built by people who care deeply about doing exceptional work. We set high standards, take ownership, and continually challenge ourselves and one another to be better. We work hard, support each other, and take genuine pride in what we deliver for our clients, partners, and teams.

At Blueprint, you’ll work alongside talented people with different experiences, expertise, and perspectives. You’ll have opportunities to take on meaningful challenges, expand your skills, and see the impact of what you build.

Bring your perspective. Raise the standard. Build what matters.

In this role

You will build applied AI and platform solutions that transform manual, repetitive, and human-driven operational processes into reliable automated and agent-driven systems. You will identify opportunities for automation, develop AI agents and orchestration workflows, and turn successful prototypes into secure, observable, production-ready services. Working across Azure, .NET, C#, Python, React, SQL, and modern AI technologies, you will build integrations, APIs, evaluation frameworks, and automation infrastructure while partnering directly with end users and cross-functional stakeholders. This role is well suited for an engineer who is comfortable operating in ambiguity, understands both traditional software engineering and non-deterministic AI systems, and can balance experimentation with production-quality engineering standards.

Responsibilities

  • Identify high-friction operational workflows, quantify the current-state cost, and design automated or agent-driven solutions that improve efficiency, reduce errors, and increase throughput.
  • Build AI agents and intelligent workflows using Azure AI Foundry, Copilot Studio, Microsoft Agent Framework, MCP, and related frameworks.
  • Design multi-step tool use, orchestration, and human-in-the-loop workflows for agentic applications.
  • Replatform prototypes and proofs of concept into secure, scalable, observable, and supportable production services.
  • Design and develop RESTful APIs, tool/function endpoints, and backend services using Azure App Services.
  • Apply prompt engineering, grounding, retrieval, Azure AI Search, and evaluation practices to improve AI system quality and reliability.
  • Build evaluation and quality infrastructure for AI systems, including offline evaluation sets, CI regression gates, drift detection, and release criteria.
  • Develop observability for AI and agentic systems, including quality, cost, latency, tool-call outcomes, and rollback capabilities.
  • Build integrations between internal and external systems while maintaining appropriate human review, approval, and intervention points.
  • Implement secure authentication and authorization using Entra ID, including workload identity, least-privilege access, and delegated permissions.
  • Support privacy, security, accessibility, responsible AI, and compliance assessments for AI-powered solutions.
  • Use Azure DevOps for source control, CI/CD, automated testing, release management, and work tracking.
  • Partner with engineers, program managers, stakeholders, and end users to understand operational processes and translate them into effective technical solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews, unit testing, Agile ceremonies, troubleshooting, and debugging across distributed and AI-dependent systems.
  • Evaluate emerging AI and agent technologies and provide practical recommendations for their application.
  • Document workflow architectures, agent behavior and boundaries, integration contracts, and system designs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3+ years of professional software development experience, with a focus on cloud-based applications.
  • Strong proficiency with .NET, C#, Python, and SQL for backend development.
  • Hands-on experience building with LLMs and AI services, including prompt engineering.
  • Experience taking at least one AI-powered feature, agent, or automation into production or near-production and being able to discuss the technical implementation in depth.
  • Demonstrated experience automating real-world workflows through process automation, orchestration, integrations, or agentic tooling.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure App Services, Azure SQL, Logic Apps, Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, and Azure AI Search.
  • Experience using Azure DevOps for version control, build automation, release management, and project tracking.
  • Experience designing secure applications using Entra ID for authentication and authorization.
  • Strong understanding of SQL database design, optimization, and querying.
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting abilities across code, data, configuration, and AI/model behavior.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work directly with end users, gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and iterate based on feedback.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with the client's organization and familiarity with its development practices, technologies, and internal systems.
  • Experience with agent frameworks and orchestration, such as Microsoft Agent Framework, Semantic Kernel, LangGraph, or MCP.
  • Experience with tool design and multi-agent coordination.
  • Experience developing LLM evaluation harnesses, including offline evaluation sets, LLM-as-judge approaches, and automated quality gates.
  • Demonstrated ability to take an internal prototype, hack, or proof of concept and turn it into a supported production service.
  • Experience replacing legacy manual processes through automation, particularly where organizational workflows are complex.
  • Front-end development experience with React.
  • Experience with large-scale distributed systems and multiple integration points.
  • Familiarity with responsible AI practices and enterprise compliance review processes.

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

A "recently separated veteran" means any veteran during the three-year period beginning on the date of such veteran's discharge or release from active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval, or air service.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 07/31/2029

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
