The Position:

We are looking for a Vice President (VP), Principal to serve as the executive lead in serving your assigned clients. You are a seasoned expert in Marketing, with an ability to inspire client engagement and fuel account growth. You will be the go-to executive client contact, owning the relationship and continuously building it. You are the executive voice of the client inside the agency, leading the internal agency team to ensure the client’s needs and goals are being met on every project. You will be accountable for providing an exceptional client experience across every interaction between the client and agency. You will be responsible for getting the client the best possible work at a profitable return for the agency.  You will develop a thorough knowledge of the client’s business, the consumer and the marketplace. 

The Responsibilities:

Includes, but not limited to the following:

  • Executive owner of a client’s business, ensures the firm delivers an exceptional client experience and solutions that solve the client’s business objectives.
  • Focused on strategically growing share of wallet. Sales-driven and growth-oriented with an ability to deliver increased sales. Owns and leads out on the development and implementation of account strategies for assigned clients.
  • Expertly manages the client’s P&L.
  • Smartly leads agency teams to deliver high-value, high-margin, high-quality work product & client experience. “A+ work product or nothing at all” mentality.
  • Builds “WOW” relationships within the client’s ecosystem both top-down and bottom-up.
  • Operates at 30k feet AND in the weeds, seamlessly weaves between the two and effectively operates at every level in-between.
  • A+ presentation & packaging capabilities, with an ability to effectively quarter-back high level presentations across all areas of client engagement.
  • Entrepreneur within the BPD ecosystem – identifies and innovates new growth opportunities and product opportunities, always seeking new and better client solutions.
  • Leader and mentor of direct reports, effectively delegating work, developing & training team members.
  • Inspirer of cross-functional teams – expertly leads and collaborates with Media, Strategy, Creative, Project Management and Leadership to deliver on client needs.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of your clients’ industry, consumer profiles and competitors.
  • Knowledgeable in current marketing, media, social and digital trends
  • Lead out on existing and new client pitches as needed.
  • In short, all roads lead to the VP, Principal on the account! 

The Essentials:

  • 15+ years’ experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, with an ability to clearly, concisely and confidently articulate information and recommendations.
  • Excellent presentation-building and presentation skills.
  • Must be a seasoned analytical and strategic thinker.
  • Advertising agency experience is a must.
  • Must have understanding of the overall media landscape and experience launching multi-channel integrated campaigns, including knowledge of digital media channels.
  • Team-oriented player and a proven, effective leader - ability to lead, inspire and collaborate with a large cross-functional team. Willing to “roll up the sleeves” with a can-do attitude.
  • Must have experience managing direct reports.
  • A service-oriented mindset, focused on delivering high quality work, and always anticipating client and internal team needs.
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced environment with an ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously.
