
Application Development Systems Analyst

The Systems Analyst will work in the Application Development group to build applications that enhance and improve Back Office Operations. The Analyst will report to the Manager of Application Development and is responsible for all aspects of the application development process, including requirements, development, testing, implementation and maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Learn existing application and database framework
- Troubleshoot, maintain and enhance application infrastructure and related operations
- Work with members of the Back Office to determine automation needs
- Develop applications in the approved technologies to meet all requirements
- Support applications through all phases of SDLC including requirements, design, analysis, testing, deployment and support
- Analyze, select and integrate vendor software where necessary
- Adhere to current development processes including documentation, code standards, and testing
- Liaise with internal colleagues and external counterparties to ensure seamless integration is achieved when implementing or enhancing applications
- Work as a technical intermediary between Back Office staff and application vendors
Qualifications:
- Experience with the .NET development platform, specifically C#
- Experience with Microsoft SQL server
- Experience with Microsoft technologies WPF and Web API
- Experience with version control systems preferably Git CI/CD
- Understanding of application design patterns, components and abstraction
- Minimum 4 years of prior related experience preferably with a financial services firm
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Strong technical and project management skills
- Ability to challenge current processes in order to improve them
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others
- Ability to work well under pressure and within a deadline driven environment
