Position Summary:
The Senior Manager, Commercial Operations will ensure that commercial programs and initiatives are executed efficiently and aligned with strategic business objectives. This individual will be responsible for program oversight, cross-functional coordination, and vendor management to support the company’s commercial success.
The Senior Manager, Commercial Operations will provide insights that inform brand performance decisions and customer engagement strategies, while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence across the commercial function.
Specific Duties:
- Manage relationships with vendors and third-party partners that support commercial programs, ensuring that external resources are aligned with organizational priorities and deliver value to the business.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, Sales Operations, Business Operations, and Market Access.
- Ensure alignment with brand strategy and go-to-market plans.
- Manage and track the progress of cross-functional projects, driving key commercial initiatives from planning through to successful execution.
- Assess customer performance and emerging trends to inform and support brand strategy and commercial planning.
- Facilitate clear and timely communication between cross-functional teams and senior leadership, providing regular updates on program status, key risks, milestones, and critical decision points.
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, serving as a trusted business partner to leadership and peers.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across the commercial organization.
- Provide account analytics by monitoring account performance and ordering trends, identifying insights that can guide strategic decision-making.
- Conduct regular check-ins with clinics to evaluate performance, identify patterns, and capture customer insights that can enhance brand execution.
- Take on additional Commercial Operations projects as business needs evolve.
Skills:
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to independently drive projects to completion.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, as well as other commercial planning tools such as Smartsheet, Salesforce, and Quicksight.
- Demonstrated expertise in vendor management, with a track record of overseeing external partners to ensure quality and compliance.
- Advanced project management capabilities, including planning, prioritization, and execution across multiple stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence outcomes without direct authority and to convey complex information clearly to both internal and external audiences.
- Customer service orientation with the ability to anticipate and meet the needs of diverse stakeholders.
- Proven ability to foster collaboration and alignment across functions in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of program or project management experience, with exposure to commercial operations preferred.
- Demonstrated experience managing customer and vendor relationships with measurable impact on program success.
- Proven ability to generate and report on customer insights that inform strategy and execution.
- Hands-on experience using tools such as Quicksight and Smartsheet to manage projects, track progress, and deliver insights.
