Our team is growing! We are seeing an experienced Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal who has a wealth of knowledge and experience in all phases of case workups including pre-litigation and litigation. Successful candidates will be proficient in legal software, have excellent communication skills and have a knack for time management.
This is a full-time position that will be onsite in one of our main office locations. We are in-office 5 days a week, Monday – Friday 8:30am-5pm.
Responsibilities
- Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, appellate documents and legal memoranda.
- E-file court documents in both state and federal courts.
- Communicate effectively with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.
- Conduct legal research and factual investigations.
- Prepare discovery documents, including interrogatories and responses.
- Draft and serve summons.
- Coordinate and schedule depositions.
- Work with legal assistant to prepare trial binders and exhibits.
- Organize, maintain and manage indexes for pleadings, discovery, exhibits, evidence, briefs and appendices.
- Support attorney with all requests.
- Act as liaison between experts, defense attorneys and vendors.
- Assist with witness preparation.
- Provide support in case settlements.
- Other related duties and responsibilities as assigned to meet the business needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years of experience in Personal Injury
- Proficiency in legal software and legal databases (Litify, eCourts, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to ethical standards.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and technologies.
- Relevant understanding of legal research methodologies.
- Relevant certifications or licenses related to paralegal studies preferred.
Compensation Range:
$70,000 - $80,000 USD
Benefits: Full Time Employees and Part Time Employees over 30 hours per week
