Position Overview
The Settlement Coordinator is a high-impact, performance-driven role responsible for actively advancing pre-litigation cases toward resolution. This position focuses on consistent communication with insurance adjusters, ensuring all demands are progressing and settlement discussions are scheduled without delay.
Key Responsibilities
Demand Follow-Up & Adjuster Communication
- Proactively contact insurance adjusters on all outstanding demands.
- Confirm receipt of demand packages and establish evaluation timelines.
- Maintain consistent communication through resolution.
- Ensure every case remains actively engaged—no passive waiting.
Settlement Scheduling & Coordination
- Schedule settlement discussions between adjusters and firm leadership.
- Coordinate calls, settlement conferences, and mediations (as applicable).
- Ensure all parties are aligned and prepared for discussions.
- Drive cases to the negotiating table as quickly as possible.
Consistent Follow-Up & Case Advancement
- Maintain a disciplined and consistent follow-up approach across all assigned cases.
- Proactively drive communication to secure claim evaluations and initiate settlement discussions.
- Reinforce urgency and case value in all interactions with adjusters.
- Identify when additional pressure or escalation is needed to move cases forward.
Escalation Management
- Identify unresponsive or delaying adjusters.
- Escalate to supervisors or claims managers as needed.
- Push for timely evaluations, meaningful offers, and scheduled negotiations.
- Ensure no case stalls due to inaction.
Case Tracking & Pipeline Management
- Maintain accurate tracking of all active demands and follow-ups.
- Monitor scheduled settlement discussions and offer status.
- Ensure all cases are documented, actively worked, and progressing.
Settlement Momentum Ownership
- Identify at-risk or delayed cases.
- Re-engage adjusters proactively.
- Coordinate with internal teams to reposition cases when needed.
- Ensure consistent forward movement across all cases.
Qualifications
Experience:
- Personal injury law (preferred).
- Insurance claims or adjuster communication (preferred).
- High-volume outbound calling, collections, or similar environments (highly relevant).
Core Skills:
- Strong phone presence and communication skills.
- Ability to manage high daily call volume.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Persistent and confident in driving conversations forward.
Compensation Range:
$50,000 - $65,000 USD
Compensation: The base salary or hourly range for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to; prior relevant experience, business needs and market factors. Additionally, salary wages are only part of the total compensation package.
