Position Overview
Brandon J. Broderick, Attorney at Law is seeking a skilled and motivated Business Litigation Attorney to join our growing legal team. This role will handle a broad range of commercial and business disputes from inception through resolution, providing strategic legal counsel and strong advocacy on behalf of clients.
The ideal candidate will possess experience managing complex litigation matters, strong analytical and writing abilities, and a proactive, client-focused approach to dispute resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse caseload of business and commercial litigation matters from pre-suit investigation through trial and appeal, as applicable.
- Draft, review, and argue pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests/responses, and settlement agreements.
- Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategy for complex commercial disputes.
- Handle all phases of discovery, including depositions, document review, witness preparation, and expert coordination.
- Represent clients in court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and settlement conferences.
- Advise clients on litigation risks, business disputes, contract issues, regulatory concerns, and dispute resolution strategies.
- Collaborate with partners, attorneys, and support staff to effectively manage case progression and client service.
- Maintain strong client relationships through clear communication, responsiveness, and strategic guidance.
- Participate in trial preparation, including exhibit management, witness preparation, and courtroom support.
- Contribute to business development efforts, networking, and client retention initiatives, as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active license and good standing with the New Jersey Bar.
- 5-10+ years of litigation experience, preferably in business/commercial litigation.
- Experience handling commercial disputes, breach of contract claims, partnership/shareholder disputes, business torts, employment-related business matters, or similar litigation areas preferred.
- Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and oral advocacy skills.
- Experience managing litigation matters independently or with limited supervision.
- Familiarity with litigation case management systems and legal technology platforms.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Compensation Range:
$125,000 - $175,000 USD
Compensation: The base salary or hourly range for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to; prior relevant experience, business needs and market factors. Additionally, salary wages are only part of the total compensation package.
